Hotel Le Vigne di Corvino

We chose the hotel due to its close proximity (around 12 minutes drive) to 7 Laghi Race Circuit where we were attending an event. It did a superb job for us & has lots to commend. The hotel is very efficiently managed & staff are all outstanding. So friendly & accommodating. I was impressed before we arrived with the speed & caIibre of email responses - this often sets the tone for me. The hotel is a simple, low frills, good value property. The location (Fumo) is a workaday town, & the outlook onto street or car park. The nearby town of Casteggio is very pleasant & Voghera & Pavia are both well worth a visit. There is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel to link you up to these cities. Our room was reasonably spacious, airy & light, with a small balcony. The bathroom, a tad dated, was a decent size with an excellent shower. Reliable free WiFi. Ample private parking. The welcome was warm & as aforementioned, staff go the extra mile. The hotel doesn’t have a bar as such but serves drinks from reception & there is a small lounge area here plus a pleasant terrace fronting the hotel. A further plus point is the restaurant, which is stylishly decorated & turns out really good food. Dinner is €18 for a hearty, very tasty 3 course meal including a glass of wine. It operates Monday to Friday only but there are ample alternatives within a short drive. Breakfast is a small but sweet cold buffet spread. The hotel exceeded expectations & we send thanks & congratulations to all the wonderful staff/owners for providing us with such a happy stay.
