We stayed here for few days in mid-May. The house is on the top of the hill with stunning views of the local vineyards and countryside.  On most days you can also see the Alps which are spectacular.  The hosts Mike and Dan couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable including freshly baked bread every morning.  

Idealic historic BnB in the heart of Piedmont

Our trip here was lovely. Travelling in December, the warm fires and cozy charm was just what I was after for a relaxing break away. The hosts are very attentive and welcoming and we were made to feel very at home. The views are lovely with some really nice local walks. Lots of nice places to eat and drink not too far away and so it's the perfect place to   take advantage of the beautiful locally produced foods (try the local hazelnut products, they are amazing).

We really enjoyed our stay here. The B&B has a wonderful view of rolling countryside and the snow-topped alps in the distance. 

Really nice place for a cosy retreat. The area seems to have many good restaurants and traditional towns to visit.

The hosts were very welcoming and attentive and the rooms beautifully decorated and clean.

Cosy and peaceful stay in pretty countryside

We spent one night at this B&B.  Our upstairs room was large with a little hall leading to the bedroom and bath.  The bedroom had a small sofa, desk, single bed, chair, one bed table and a fan on a small table.  There was no AC to manage the hot weather.  The very large bathroom had a tub with rain shower, two sinks, bidet, and toilet, There were 2 sets of towels, shampoo, soaps and a large mirror.  WIfi was ok. The walls may be thin as I could here the neighbor snoring in the morning.  The doors to the room and bathroom creaked when they opened. 
The B&B was not too hard to find in the daylight but would be a challenge in the dark.  Downstairs was a large sitting area and breakfast room.  Outside is a garden area with sitting spaces.  One could easily spend a weekend here visiting Asti.
Breakfast was a sensation!  It never stopped coming.  Fresh OJ, coffee, cut peach in a little bowl, omelette with herbs and truffles, fried egg with fresh truffles (the lady of the house showed us her truffles and the serving was very generous), prosciutto, ham, crudo, mozzarella with  pepper jelly, bread, toast, hazelnut cake (NO flour), etc.  It just kept coming.  
We would stay here again.

Lovely B&B off the beaten path near Asti

An extremely pleasant stay. B&B San Carlo is very easy to find yet it's off the beaten path at the same time, being only 5 or 10minutes from the highway. It's a great base from which to explore the villages of Asti and Alba.
The property itself is delightful, from the view over the countryside to Costigliole to the expansiveness and comfort of the common areas, including the huge kitchen.
Our room was lovely with views to the valley.  It was extremely well appointed with plush towels and all amenities, and amaretto cookies for snack attacks.
The breakfast was the best we've had in a B&B and we've stayed in more since writing this review.  Not only was there the usual spread of breads, jams and pastries, but Giorgio made a delightful roulade to accompany the more than generous offerings.
Quite honestly, the welcome we received from Giorgio and Mirella was utterly memorable. They are very warm, hospitable and clearly have a passion for their metier.
