86 reviewsFaenza doesn't have as many centrally located places to stay as nearby towns/cities like Ferarra and Ravenna, so the prices are higher. This B&B (strictly, a "room and breakfast", as it is purely a business rather than rooms to let in the owner's home) is of a similar standard to a modern 3-star hotel, but without the 24-hour reception and other hotel services. We got a warm welcome from the English-speaking manager (or owner?). The Magnolia is in a new block with a lift and large, light rooms. Ours had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The area is quite industrial, on a busy road and near the railway, but the sound insulation must have been good because we slept well. Guests can borrow bikes, which is a good idea because the B&B is about 3km from the centre of town (but nearer to the station). Breakfast was quite good by Italian standards and the wi-fi, air conditioning and everything else worked well. Unusually for Italy, there is a kettle and tea/coffee provided in each room. The pizzeria/restaurant next door gives a 10% discount to guests and is OK for a simple meal so there is no need to trek back into the centre to eat.
