We had an excellent time in this family hotel & restaurant with amazing view from the terrace. Federica and all staff were very friendly, flexible and supportive. We enjoyed a lot our evening meals, our night and our breakfast over there. Definitely worth a stay and it is a very pleasant change versus traditional hotel chains.

Quality family hotel and restaurant! Strongly recommended!

The prices are up to the moon and the portions are so small. Best to find some other restaurant în the area. You pay only the view. We order some fritto misto per 3 persons and we receive a plateau wirh some fish for one person. The chips was forum only from one potatoes and for only one person, not 3.

Orribile! You pay the view and you will go hungry from there

The hotel and the restaurant are run by a family. The rooms are of a good size, clean and have a terrace with a view.
The restaurant offers fresh, local produce partly from the family's own production, which is also true for some of the wine.
I also recommend the breakfast which is rather abundant at least for Italian standards.
The service is friendly and warm.
Parking is for free.
The beach is a 10-15-minute walk. But be aware that this needs some basic fitness and good shoes as it is a steep path with changing surfaces.

Spectacular view

Would throughly recommend staying at La Gioiosa. On arrival Flavio welcomed us with lovely cold local white wine, sitting in the terrace we took in the amazing view of the bay. Breakfast comprised of a mixture of local cheeses, breads, meats and fresh coffee. All ingredients were sourced locally with the majority coming from fresh from the garden at the back of the hotel. The menu is limited but changed daily, Pasta and fish dishes were really tasty.The location is a 15 minute walk from Finale Ligure down a seriously steep track which is a challenge when returning in the evening. In summary a great family run hotel / restaurant. We will be back  

Hotel stay

The hotel is very nice, rather small and quiet place, rooms are very clean and big enough (Junior Suite).  The balcony has a super sea view. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, everything “home made”, the restaurant has a nice terrace with amazing view. Only WiFi is not working very good, the best place is the Restaurant.

Perfect Stay!

Best cuisine, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, the owners do everything for you - what more could you want! Already the second time here, we will come back, that we expect from dream vacation in Liguria!

One of the most beautiful lookout in Liguria

This is a beautiful hotel. The views are amazing. The family who own it are so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food is super and all home cooked or home grown. Dinner and breakfast was great. Room was big, clean and spacious with a lovely balcony again with an amazing view. It is located about 2.5km from the town up a steep, winding road. We walked it a few times and got taxis as well. There was no A/C so was quite hot at night but there was a nice breeze when window was open. Would definitely  recommend  it.
