Don't come is an absolute disaster, there's mosquitoes, the bathroom is awful, the attention is deplorable, just the worst place I ever been in.

If you are coming to Florence for real try to pay another place to stay, I didn't even know why I picked this place in first place

The worst night ever

It was second Time I was there (three Weeks together) and i believe I'll return.
Absolutely perfect a helpful staff. 
The Hotel is in the Building from 16. Century. The pretty Rooms were small and clean with a nice Equipment and good Beds (it's like second Home). 
The location of the Hotel is totally perfect in the itself Heart of the City- 200 m to Basilica di Santa Croce, 350 m to Palazzo Vecchio, 400 m to Galleria degli Uffizi etc.

“GOOD EXPERIENCES”

The owner was rude (that old lady), she gave us the wrong key when we checked in, and blamed us because we were not able to answer her calls. She even turns the wifi off every time she leave. Towels were not free (€2 per towel). But in all fairness, the location is perfect. Everything is accessible. 

I went with some friends to Florence for a long weekend and we stayed here for two nights. The building was great, 500 years old, it felt unique and old. The room was great, clean, well kept, plenty of blankets for the cold night. It was also in a great location, two minute walk from the dome, 5 mins from the river, and from all the old things to see. The only trouble was the staff. When they were there, they were wonderful, sweet, helpful and considerate. They just weren't there when they said they would be, even if we asked them specifically to be there because we needed to check in early. Other than that, would recommend.

Great location, but...

They change their name to Hostel Greci which share the same address. 
I book through other website and they have ensuit and shared bathroom room type. 
It is so misleading, and I promised you all the room is shared bathroom type because they only have one bathroom in entire floor. and the light sensor is terrible, they couldn't sense us everytime we go in. Not only us, We can hear from our room that other guests are complaining about this. 

Other than that, please think twice they don't have 24 hours reception. There is noone to help if you have problem from 7pm to 9am or 10am. If you check in after 7pm, you need to inform them early, AND MAKE SURE YOU DONT LATE FOR A MINUTES for the time you inform them. My estimated time of arrival is 8pm. but my train is late for ten minutes, and that is the raining day, there is no way for us to walk from train station to the hostel within ten minutes ( their website said you only need ten minutes walk from train station to their hostel), so we late for 20-25 minutes, and the receptionist gone and left us there and wait for about 20-30 minutes!!!! Ok, may be you said it is our fault that we didn't reach at sharp 8pm. So my recommendation is... if you not able to 100% confirm the time of arrival or departure , don't stay here. 
It is because the next day, she want us to leave before 3pm, so we went back to hostel around 2.50pm and collect our luggage which we need to make sure we won;t be late again! the receptionist not there again! which means the receptionist not there to help even within the normal working hour! So we end up waited the receptionist again outside the building!! (which I feel that their statement very misleading again! they stated we can leave luggage after check out  but never mention we can leave our luggage not later than 3pm! we bought our train ticket at 6pm, so in between 3-6pm, we walk with our luggage.)

May be it is our fault not able to be on time. My advice is .. if you want to stay at hostel greci, make sure you on time, not even late than one minute or even one minute early than the time you agree with the receptionist. but still I can't guarantee you won't end up standing outside the building and waste your precious time. I believe you have other better choice.
