We stayed 2 nights at FuordArno and found it such a peaceful haven, located on the south bank of the Arno a short walk from both the Uffizi Galleries and the Santo Spirito cathedral. Although you must climb 3 flights of stairs to reach the B&B, you’re greeted at the top by the lovely and welcoming Giulia and Catalina. They provided us with an excellent breakfast each day as well as tips about the surrounding area, including quickly responding to questions on WhatsApp about the best hours to visit a local market and sharing advice on how to get to the airport on a rainy day. The rooms are large, peaceful, and very clean. The showers have excellent water pressure and the tap water is drinkable so you don’t have to keep buying bottled water every day! There is a kitchen with drinks, snacks, etc. available at all hours, including homemade cookies, an espresso machine, and assorted teas. A very enjoyable home base to explore the south bank of the Arno!
