Camping Michelangelo

I loved staying here....twice, once in 2008 and then again in 2013.  The campground has all you need....laundry, showers, a cafe.  Buses run down into town from just outside the campground.  It's a nice peaceful getaway after a day in the hustle and bustle of Florence

To find something in this area of italy with such a price is very good, the facilities is not the best but in General it's reasonable. We booked a tent with 2 beds, the location is very good. They have nice terrace and electricity plugs, coffee machine.
But don't forget to bring something for the mosquitoes that doesn't work on electricity.
I would come back again.

Decent budget place

The view!

We choose this camp only for the location but the rest was disappointing. They did not accept the family with car in front of us in the queue but accepted us with 3 motorbikes. When we proceed inside there were many available place. I did not understand what is the acceptance criteria. Showers, toilets are very old and needs renovation. Hygiene is not good. No market inside. Lady in the bar is very rude. I do not know why but she get very angry when we ask ice for our drinks. If you only want to stay I night under your tent go there. Otherwise find another place.

Only positive thing is the location.

We were not very impressed by this campground, but the location was good. The bathrooms were not very clean, but we made the best of it. The other thing we noticed was the nightclub next door played music until 4am every night except monday. We luckily brought earplugs, so it didn't bother us too much. There was also the smell of sewage that bothered us while we stayed there. We found out that this campground is moving to a different location in the near future, which explains the lack of maintenance. 

Not too Impressed, but it gave us a place to stay

Positive:
 - good location, close to the city centre, view of the Florence
Negative:
 - toilets, showers and all social areas were very dirty
 - very bad maintained camping facilities, tables, benches
 - not enough power plugins
 - just anything in the kitchen and no place for your own cooking
 - hygiene level and services are too low for the price they ask for camping in your tent,

Camping in great locality but dirty and terrible maintained

+The staff was helpful and nice 
+The Location is good, 25 min walk into the centre

-9 of 10 toilettes were closed. The same applies to the showers. (See in the pictures) 
-The sinks and the showers were dirty, it seemed that somebody had to throw up into the sink but nobody cleaned it. The sanitary facilities were in total old, dirty and didnt function properly (No water was running out of most of the sinks and showers). 
-The tent was okay but the matress was dirty with not recognizable spots. You have back pain after one night cause the matress is worn. 
-Most of the guests were young people who drank a lot and were loud. 
-You cannot cook at this camping place cause the plugs were only at the Restaurant and were only used for charging phones. 

All in all, the Camping place seems like closing down everything cause nobody cares about the facilities and cleanliness. There was also an ugly smell coming when you go to the facilities. Really sad cause the location would be really good.
