I think the reviews for the Holiday House are the most accurate.  The rooms are very basic; my wife and I had 2 single beds.  The bedroom furnishings as well as the bath seemed brand new. Everything worked.  It is extremely peaceful in the halls as well as the beautiful garden. The second floor (where we stayed) had some small sitting areas if you wanted a comfy chair or a view. 

It is close to the Duomo and there are restaurants, bars, laundromat, grocery stores 2- 15 minutes walk.  

Google Translate will be your friend if you need more that hello/good bye/thank you.

Wonderful stay

This was a lovely place to stay in Florence, in a really good location about 8-10 minutes walk to the duomo.  Although there were bars, restaurants and shops nearby it was really peaceful and quiet.  There was a lovely garden out the back which was nice to sit out in. Breakfast was basic but nice - croissants, bread, jam, fruit, cereal.  My single room was big with plenty of storage and a great shower.  I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A great place to stay.

If “simple and suitable” is your mantra, this house of hospitality is for you.  The location is ideal.  The nuns are delightful.  The place is immaculate.  It is a great house to start the day and equally rewarding to return in order to freshen up for the evening.

Fairly average if I’m honest. On the plus side it was a central location and there was a pleasant garden at the back. Don’t get taken away on the romantic perception that it’s a beautiful religious setting - it’s not. The nuns are friendly enough. The rooms are like something from the 1970’s - 2 tiny single beds with springs which stuck into my back, weak small shower, no TV, there was an intermittent light (from an alarm) flashing on the ceiling. I was nipped by mosquitos all night. Plus the breakfast is poor - coffee from a machine, hard bread, cake and apples. If it’s the only thing you can find it’s tolerable otherwise look elsewhere

Borgo Pinti 15 Convent, 50121, Florence

I stayed here while studying abroad - the nuns who run this facility are so kind and helpful! There is a beautiful garden in the back which I spent a lot of time in! You can hear the bells of the Duomo from your room, which has to be one of the most ethereal and beautiful sounds to wake up to and enjoy. Everything is a super close walk! The Duomo is a short walk away, in addition to tons of good restaurants and shops! As a single female, I felt safe in this area without my group. It is in a good area, even at night. The rooms are cleaned daily to perfection. The breakfast is good and it is close to several coffee shops. I recommend this place above all others in Florence! If you are traveling in a big group, they have a newly added apartment suite that includes a kitchen and laundry! For our longer stay, we cooked for ourselves and were able to clean clothes in the hotel. 

Best place in Florence for single or group travel!

Our family of six (four teens) stayed in this guest house for two nights. We stayed in two triple rooms, which can be difficult to find during the busy holiday season. We were very happy with our stay and we will return. 



Perfect location, friendly hosts, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great coffee.

Spotlessly clean, quiet and located within a few minutes' walk of the Duomo, I loved this place. The nuns were helpful with suggestions when I needed.  The breakfast is basic, but enough and the price is perfect.  Would recommend to anyone!

Wonderful place!

We took a cab from the train station.  The cabbie told us that this was one of the best locations in town.  I agree.  From the lounge on the floor we stayed on (3rd as Americans count) you could see the dome of the Duomo.  The Borgo Pinti is a narrow (I think it is one way - hard to tell in Florence!).

Room was nice and with the temperatures at the time, we could keep our window shut.  There are no screens in the windows and there were a few mosquitos that made it inot the room.  

Nice courtyard.  Nuns were nice, many were from Africa.  Some English spoken by some of them.

Breakfast was simple, but it was enough to get you going.

This is run by nuns, but you don't need to be Roman Catholic or even Christian to stay there.

I would certainly stay here again.  This was the 3rd of 4 nun run establishments that we stayed at.  All were excellent.

Nice quiet central location

I stayed here because it is the lodging provided for people attending well-known English (but living in Tuscany) artist John Skelcher's week-long watercolour course (a week prior to attending a conference in Prato (near Florence). However, this monastery accommodation is open to anyone, but is a well-kept secret! From the second you ring the bell and push the door open there is a spiritual peace and orderliness that appeals to the lapsed Catholic in me! Although only a few minutes away from the Duomo, Santa Croce, Leonardo da Vinci museum  and all the city centre attractions, it is a peaceful sanctuary run by nuns who are so wonderful and helpful and make your stay an absolute pleasure. Rooms are fairly basic but very clean, comfortable and all have an ensuite (including a bidet). Your room is cleaned and bed made daily with a regular change of towels. The garden at the back is a glorious Tuscan one with roses, lemon and olive trees, cypress pines and a saintly statue in the middle with places to sit and contemplate - or just paint a scene. There is free and reliable wifi but you can give a donation when you leave if you like (suggested by nuns is just Euro 1.50 per day!). Breakfast is provided and is a self-serve continental one which is great if you are a light eater like me, but for a more substantial one, there are plenty of cafes around. My room faced the centre of the accommodation building (quiet but not particularly pretty)  and others face the garden (best) or street (can be a bit noisy, I am told). There is a curfew of 2300 hrs but this was not a problem for me as I was not in Florence for hard partying. If you forget your electrical adaptor, the nuns have one to lend you. If you need to have a meeting with  a group there are rooms you can do this in. You meet other travelers from all over the world so you can practice your other language skills at breakfast if you like. I believe there is a sister accommodation in Rome which can be accessed via Monastery Stays in Italy website. When I go back to Florence with my husband this is where I am staying, for sure, and will book either room 5 or 6 (double bed with garden views - best rooms according to the nuns!) - only Euro 90 per night. My single room was only Euro 55 per night!

Delightful find in Florence Centre

Staying at the B&B while on a watercolour course run by John Skelcher of The Retreat. The B&B is a great central location. Just a short walk to the Duomo. Lots of friendly little restaurants for meals.
Rooms very clean with modern shower room. The Sisters make the bed for you every day and freshen the room. Beautiful common rooms with frescos and ornate ceilings. Courtyard garden to enjoy the sun and roses.
Breakfast is very basic. That suited me fine as Inate so much at lunch and dinner!
