My fourth stay at this place says it all. This time a three day stay with wife, son, his wife and daughter and my daughter. Took three rooms. Clean and adequate. While there are few amenities and no services it as good a place and as accommodating a hostess  you can find anywhere. Breakfast is do-it-yourself with Marianne supplying coffee, juices, pastries. One drawback is lack of WiFi although there is WiFi at a bar less than 100 meters down the road. Local cheese maker within walking distance. Frosolone is an Interesting quaint town with several restaurants serving local foods.It is an easy drive to the wind farms and pastures above the town at  3000 feet for hiking and enjoying the vistas. Encountered a friendly horse herd along the road and had to stop to allow the cows to cross. Frosolone is a good jump off point to visit the ruins at Saepinum, the hill top town  of Pietrabbondante (including ruins of a town Hannibal sacked in 200BC), Fossalto for the best gelato in Molise, and other interesting hill top towns.

Family Vacation

A house in fields just outside the village and very quiet apart from, unfortunately, the dogs in neighbouring houses that bark all night.   We had a good sized bedroom and bathroom with shower but the first thing we noticed was the lack of facilities:  no chairs to sit on although there was a nice balcony;  nowhere to put anything down;  internet only available in public places or out on the balcony!  Breakfast was self service - a coffee machine and small selection of Italian cakes.   Very good parking and very clean, but a little disappointing.

Another four day June stay, this time with my son. Could not ask for a better place. CLEAN!! Owner Marianne most amiable and helpful. Improved over last year in that there now is wifi on site. Got a discount for the double occupancy which we did not get elsewhere. Breakfast still do-it-yourself but very adequate. Does not serve meals but there is an arrangement with near-by restaurants for discount meals.

Return Visit

Had a four-day stay in early June 2013. Clean, relatively new rehab of a former farmhouse/stable. Accomodations are well worth the cost. My room had two single beds and bath. Owners not on property but are close by and are there every day to clean. Breakfast is do-it-yourself but adequate (expresso machine, toast, croissants, jams, butter) and a full kitchen and washing machine is available for use by guests. Host Marianne very accomodating but English  is limited, gave good suggestions of where to eat in town and sights to see. House is located just outside of town. A short drive or a good 20 minute uphill walk to center of town. There is no internet but there is a bar about 100 meters down the road that has free wifi. There is a cheese maker nearby where local cheeses are made and can be bought. Frosolone is a famous for knife making and knives hancrafted are something to see. Above the town and the tree line are mountain pastures and bike trails of various difficulties. Thursday is market day and center town is closed to accomodate vendors of locally made cheeses and sausages and  everything from goldfish to shoes. Both this agriturismo and Frosolenoe are well forth a second visit.
