The accommodation is a 17th  Century modernised town house, and the whole accommodation is very clean. Its location is excellent, being in the old town and just a few minute's walk from the harbour, and restaurants and bars. Arrangements were made through Elizabetta, who was delightful and thoroughly helpful. Her English is non-existent, so it was not possible to deal with her on the phone. Make all arrangements well ahead, so communications can be translated. The room was clean and comfortable with a striking en suite! The breakfasts were superb and taken on the terrace, with views out over the old town and sea. 
Parking is an issue. There is none with the property. Parking is on the ring road around the old town. It can be difficult to find a spare place and to complicate the issue, some spaces are free whilst others have to be paid for. Patience is a virtue!
If you have mobility issues, the stairs can be a real problem, being narrow and steep.
The Cathedral bells can be a bit persistent!

Convenient and comfortable

We were at the B&B Palazzo Rocci for a week and we had a great time. The owner, Elisabetta, is fantastic, available and caring. The cleaning is great. We recommend it! The location is great and it's right in the middle of the historic part.

It's perfect!

In the heart of the historic center, very convenient to everything, even the parking lot of the port (which is really two steps away), the Palazzo Rocci has a really suggestive atmosphere, it seems to be in the past. Our room had a private bathroom but external (we were lucky to have no one nearby or at least we never met them); it was reached via a very narrow staircase that looked over the kitchen, maybe not suitable for the elderly but we knew about adventure and we liked it very much!! Spacious bathroom. Freezer available. I can't judge breakfast because we didn't make it.

A return to the past

B&B in the historic center so uncomfortable to park the car but convenient for visiting the village. Historic building so no elevator but the first floor is easily accessible. Large room but with atmosphere of 50 years ago. Very basic breakfast with mostly packaged things. If I had to go back I would look for a more modern accommodation.

No infamy and no praise

The B&B is run by a Milanese lady who moves to Gallipoli every season and works in this palace belonging to her grandmother. The grandmother....which inside everything speaks of her, from beliefs full of nipples and cyanfrusagles (best suited to an antique shop cell') to photos of the deceased and her family camping at every corner, beds and lamps in beaten iron, sofas and lamps IMMENSE but a bathroom so small that I (66kg,1,72) enter and barely move. The girl insures you the room and sparkles and calls to the written on the big room of the modern b&b environment which says: I have not been able to tell you...

Palazzo Rocci, for the love of the past.

On the eve of our arriving to Lucca they send us a mail changing our booking. Send us to an appartment with 2 bedrooms and no more words!
When we went to the Palazzo they ddint open the door...as we ve already paid..our loss

Horrible experience!

Very narrow, steep stairs.  Although stating terrace this was only available during the hour of breakfast and was kept locked for the remainder of the day.  When asked we were told that some people might go on terrace drunk at night.  We were the only 4 people there at the time and we are all in our seventies so I don’t think this was a valid reason.  The terrace in no way resembled the photographs on their website, it was shabby to say the least. The breakfast was very limited and not very good quality. On the plus side hotel was spotless and staff friendly.

Accommodation doesn’t match photos

We stayed in this property in the first week of September, and believe me... I've never met such wonderful people. Elizabeth, Flavia and Arthur are the owners who will make you feel like you're part of their family. Breakfast with pastries that we'll hardly forget. The well-positioned property, just a few steps from the Duomo and so many typical restaurants and shops, not to mention the sea ((Purity Beach) that's two steps away. The spacious rooms and cleanliness there reign truly so sweet... whenever you walk through the door to smell.

A holiday that will stay in my heart

Location great, just close to Duomo, rooms spacious, clean and everything you need. Unfortunately shared bathroom, which I must have missed when I booked... but worked fine. Breakfast was a bit limited, but served on the lovely terrace (that you had access to during certain hours during the day). 
The owners nice, only difficult to communicate if you don't know Italian....

Great location B&B

The most beautiful of our memories of this Italian holiday is the meeting of Elizabeth and her mother who are holding this B&B remarkably. Good bed, spacious room, impeccable cleanliness, we feel at home. A small terrace lunch under the care of Elizabeth's mother. It's paradise in Gallipoli. Thanks a thousand per tutti...
