Villa Viola B&B Resort 

Prelude: We are headed to a BnB in Nicosia, ugly, let's head back out to restaurant/hotel we passed driving in. Great lunch, no rooms. Owner says let him check a Hotel. He booked us into the Villa Viola outside Gangi. They drive in to lead you to it, don't try it. My suggestion. Drive into Gangi and park at a service station, call, describe it. New, just opened, perched on the hillside, great view of Gangi 3 miles away. Gangi is a full half day, drive to the top of it (Duomo), stay off cobbled streets, on asphalt to the top and walk the Courso Turistico, remember the restaurant about 150 m from the start. You can have lunch there in the restaurant behind the meat counter, get the table with the balcony. Hotel is super, cannot beat the deep valley views in Sicily from the patio. A day trip to Petralia Suttano is 35 minutes away. Only four rooms so getting crowded isn't an option. Super looking pool but covered for the winter by late November. Two fantastic young ladies run the place and will put together a huge cold plate dinner with notice. Breakfast is excellent though anyone wishing to fill purses & and back packs with lunch items will call it minimal, just commenting on "sparse Continental breakfasts" comments.
