Very relaxing get away just off the beaten track to reach but well worth the drive.
Very hospitable couple and hostess managing everything providing an exceptional breakfast every morning without fail - attention to detail was second to none and eating outside was a real treat when the weather was warm enough.
Also a small pool with chairs and tables with a fabulous view over lake Garda

Beautiful Hideaway

I have wanted to visit Lake Garda for some time but had been torn between having to pay the high prices charged by the mansion hotels or accepting to stay in the resort towns - until I found this place!

Location: between the city of Garda and San Vigilio, on Lake Garda, up an unpaved road nestled amidst olive and lemon trees. It is a 1 hour drive from Verona airport, 4km from Garda town - a lovely walk along the lake shore.

Hotel: an old farm house (there are only 4 guest rooms) set within a beautiful garden with views over the lake. There is free parking, a small pool, sun loungers, a hammock and common living area including wonderful shaded terrace. The property is decorated with period furniture with modern touches.

Room: we stayed in room 3 up in the attic. This is in fact a suite composed of two bedrooms sharing a bathroom. As there were only two of us we only occupied one of the bedrooms, containing a king size bed, desk, frigobar (with complimentary mineral water), tea & coffee making facilities, TV, wardrobe, AC and a lounge chair. One of the small windows offered views of the lake. The bathroom was located between the bedrooms and had a shower cubicle, soft towels, hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. Everything was impeccably cleaned.

Sleep quality: although we could hear the faint sound of other residents in the morning we slept very well. The bed was very comfortable and there was absolute silence during the night.

Breakfast: a huge spread, buffet style, with eggs & bacon cooked to order. It offered cold cuts (3 types of ham and various cheeses), different types of bread, fresh fruits, canned juices, fresh yogurt, cereals, home made cake & pie, jams, fresh tea & coffee. Very impressive and better than many 4-5 star hotels!

Customer service: friendly, welcoming and professional. We were given maps of the area and leaflets of various nearby attractions and restaurants plus keys to operate the main gate, the main door to the property and for our room which gave us complete freedom to come and go as we pleased, either by car or on foot.

Overall: Although I had found positive reviews for this property in other websites I felt slightly uneasy for it being absent from tripadvisor. I am happy to report that this was one of our best stays abroad. If you appreciate staying in secluded places enjoying high levels of customer service and comfort this is your place! Highly recommended
