We were here for a combination of business and pleasure. This hotel feels more like a bed and breakfast and is located in the countryside. The manager/owner could not be more pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxing. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the valley below with the Mediterranean in the distance.

Friendly, clean and comfortable

We stayed at Villa Keratea for a family event recently. Its location overlooks the city of Gela, about 5 Km away, which is not one of Sicily's most visited places. The Mediterranean style garden which is overlooked by a comfortable terrace equipped with large shade umbrellas is a beauty.
The hotel is mainly a conference centre and event venue. At nights it can be noisy but this is more than offset by the beautiful location, friendly manager and staff and the good quality but economically priced food. We visit this area fairly often and this is the best place we have yet found. Rooms are large, well fitted, spotlessly clean and very reasonably priced. 
The city of Gela is one of the original Greek settlements. The Museum is under-visited and contains some breathtaking exhibits, including a world class collection of ancient Greek pottery. There is also an archelological park where sections of the original town walls, dating from the 6th century BC have been excavated and preserved. All these sites are very well worth a detour if you are exploring the south eastern part of the island.

Peaceful spot with superb views

Near to Gela (5 or 6 km) the hotel is in the countryside and is very quite all day and night long (except for the dog..). The building is pretty new, rooms are generally large, pretty and very clean, beds are large and very comfortable. The restaurant is very good and not too expensive. On the contrary breakfast is poor and continental one is not available. No laundry service available. In any case is probably the best hotel in Gela.
