B&B Le Finestre Sul Centro

An excellent B&B, centrally located. We rang before arriving and confirmed availability of private parking - we were met at the garage, which was secure and accessible to us throughout our stay (we were given the access key). Getting in and out did involve backing and filling, so be prepared. The garage was a two-minute walk from the building housing the B&B. The B&B is on the third floor (there is a lift) and overlooks the main street. This is, however, pedestrianised so there is no traffic noise. Our "room" comprised an entry, a spacious bedroom and a large, modern bathroom. The bedroom is light and airy. It is well-furinished and has a walk-in robe, so much more space than one normally expects. Flat wall-mounted TV. The bathroom has separate bath and shower and a double vanity - all well-lit and with an adjustable skylight window as well. There is a sitting room with another flat-screen TV that is available for guest use - this also serves as the breakfast room. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the pillows - typical Ikea pillows that look fine but provide no support once you put your head on them. We used the decorative cushions to sleep. Breakfast was OK - freshly made coffee, juice, yoghurt and pastries. The bedroom was air-conditioned, though we had no need of it. At 60 Euro a night, it was very good value in a charming Le Marche town. Be aware that Jesi, like many towns in the area, still very much adheres to the tradition of the mid-day (or 1pm) closure - nothing much except a couple of bars open between 1 and 4 pm. The evening passeggiata is also still alive and well. There are some good bars and a couple of restaurants in the centro storico. Le Finestre Sul Centro is in the midst of it all.
