The place was adequate and matched the price. Check in was pleasant, although booking.com didn’t forward our booking on so they didn’t know we were coming! Lucky they had rooms available. She did say however, that our towels would be changed during our stay (3 nights) and they were not changed at all. Conveniently located, good place to use as a base for Cinque Terre. 

Adequate accommodation 

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The position is excellent. Less than 10 minutes walk to the railway station, and virtually in the middle of the town. A couple of supermarkets within walking distance, and numerous restaurants and bars.
We were met by Sophie, who was very pleasant and helpful.As we were the only people staying, we had the pick of all the rooms.
Whilst we appreciated,that the accommodation was room only, we were disappointed with the lack of furniture and storage space. Only one chair, and one wardrobe.No drawers and no table.
The towels were changed after two days.
There is a communal kettle in the hall, and tea and coffee available.
There seems to be a shortage of safes and fridges. A safe had to be brought into our room, which although we were happy with that, as the safe is not fixed, should anyone have broken in, could have easily taken the safe with them.
The fridge was changed, as apparently, the existing one was not working properly, but even the replacement, did not keep the water cold.
As mentioned, we were the only people on the floor. We did not see Sophie again after our arrival. However, at 11.30 pm on our last night, we heard the main door opening. Shortly after, a key was inserted into the lock of our door,indicating someone trying to gain access. When we shouted, a voice apologized, saying that he was the owner. 
We continued to hear movement for a while afterwards,with no more attempts to try our door.Next morning, there was no sign of anybody, but the keys had been left in room number 1, indicating, the person had spent the night there.
The incident was a little upsetting to say the least.
The accommodation served its purpose, but if we did go back ( highly unlikely, as we did everything we wanted to do ), we would choose somewhere else.

Beware of ' Strangers in the Night ' !

Just stayed here for two nights, In a great location between the train station (10-15 min walk) and the harbour. Ilaria was wonderful and met us when we arrived, check in was a breeze and she was very helpful and gave lots of advice re Cinque Terre and the area. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, comfortable and clean

I couldn't agree more with what others have already written about Ilaria. She was very welcoming, friendly and available to assist with whatever we needed. The rooms are spotless, large and comfortable. It is located about a 10-15 easy walk from the train station, and right in the center of La Spezia, so within easy access to many restaurants and coffee bars. Additionally, it is close to the bus stop to reach Portovenere, a spetacular nearby coastal town that I highly recommend visiting. Our room did face the street, and there was some late night noise. If you are a light sleeper, this might be an issue.

Very friendly host, perfectly located for exploring the area

A friend told me he had a friend who rented rooms in La Spezia so I contacted Quiet Nights host, Ilaria and booked the rooms. I really did not expect them to be so clean, the beds so comfortable and the air condition sooooo good! Ilaria is a great host, very helpful, friendly and fun to talk to. She gave us all the info we needed and answered all of our questions. Quiet Night is very well located, easy to walk to and from the train station, close to the harbour, a market with fresh products almost next door, Segafredo downstairs and it is just at the heart of the center if you want to go shopping, eating, drinking ecc...I highly recommend Quiet Night to those who are going to visit Cinque Terre or if you want to stay in La Spezia.
