I was not at all happy with the standard of this accommodation and it is not what we expected from the publicity photographs that we based our booking on.
The main issues are:

1. The room was damp and had a constant smell of damp. The bedding was also all damp and musty.
2. The bathroom shower was dirty and many of the tiles are cracked.
3.  The framework of the shower is held together with gaffer tape.
4. A number of the electric wall fittings are loose showing bare wiring.
5. Paint on some of the walls is flaking due to damp.
6. The glass door to an outside courtyard is cracked.
7. The door to the courtyard is locked, hence no fire escape.

Some minor issues worth mentioning:

8. No glasses for water or drinking water supplied.
9. The telephone contact number provided is not the correct one. 
10. The agent on site was not very helpful and said we had to take up any issues with the booking agent.
11. The room door lock was faulty.

The room was so bad we left after the first night an found another accommodation  near by.

Very poor accommodation at Plazzo Gorgoni, Lecce

DO NOT BOOK THIS B&B! I booked directly through the B&B instead of through a 3rd party and had several correspondences including a confirmation of my booking. Imagine my surprise, after messaging them to let them know I had just parked the car and dragging my luggage to Gorgone B&B, when I was informed that they had overbooked and my room was not available. Instead of finding a comparable replacement at a different B&B for me, I was told to look online and see if there was anything else available. As it was the start of the weekend in Lecce, my only option was at a beautiful hotel that was €50/night more than the room I had booked at Gorgone 6-7 months prior. And, beware that the Gorgone website photos do not accurately depict the B&B. Horrible communication and business practices seem to be the issue here. So disappointing!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

Staying in Lecce with all its history we thought it would be nice to stay in a paĺazzo and this place looked really nice in the photos when researching, unfortunately it has some problems that really let it down which is a real shame.
The Palazzo is really well placed for the historic centre and the staff we met were friendly and very helpful.
We had booked a double room but were given a pair of adjoining rooms and were told that we would be moved to a more beautiful room the next day which was slightly inconvenient as we couldn't fully unpack.
The room we slept in had a large shower that needed a good clean but no wardrobe to hang clothes in, also breakfast was to be served in your room on a tray but despite the rooms being huge there was no easy way to sit and eat it, the room could easily have accommodated a table and a couple of chairs.
The next morning we were moved to the so called Beautiful room, at first glance this looked better as it had a wardrobe, a vaulted stone ceiling and some nice features, the problems started when you went through the bedroom area to the bathroom.
It a nutshell this was dirty, poorly maintained and very cramped, the shower recess was tiny and the timber duck board and the tiled walls had black mould on them, under the duck board was a broken drain and the tiles above the toilet flush were broken, to add to the problems there were several black Millipieds on the walls, apparently these are attracted by damp conditions, the next two days were spent Millipied spotting and trying to shower without coming into contact with the walls, on the whole an unpleasant experience which has taught me to research more carefully.
The bedroom had little natural light unless you left the door to the courtyard open, this door had a metal grill on it that was padlocked so let's hope there is never a fire in the main bedroom!

The room was not expensive compared to others on our road trip around Puglia but it needs some money spend on the place to improve it, it could be a lot better with improved ventilation, the  bathroom upgraded and better housekeeping.

On the positive,  nice staff, great location, nice breakfast  Lecce is fantastic but I would choose a different place if ever I return.

Three nights in Lecce

It's a gorgeous place with a lovely shower and comfy beds BUT it is essentially an Air BNB and so, breakfast is delivered by a woman who seemed genuinely unhappy/tired. One morning the croissants tasted of fish, as though they had been baked on a tray that had ben used to cook fish. Really awful. I loved lots of things but the furniture was a bit flimsy and uncomfortable. More needs to be done to make this gorgeous property tourist friendly and comfortable.  I won't be back, unfortunately but I wouldn't stop someone else from giving it a try. Hopefully the owners will fix he small stuff.  Great location!

Lots of positives and fixable negatives

We enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Gorgoni. Highly recommend the new suite- it is beautiful and spacious with high ceilings, a large bathroom, beautiful tile and ceramics, and air conditioning that works well in summer time. 
Marta is the nicest person you could meet and and we enjoyed talking to her. She gives personal attention and wants you to have a great experience. She can help with local transportation and gives good recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Well located and highly recommend.

I stayed here with a friend while we attended a cooking school across the street (The Awaiting Table). Our room was large and tastefully decorated. I especially liked the wood floors and vaulted ceiling. There is enough closet space, too. It is located not far from the main piazza in the center of Lecce. Marta, the owner, is warm and gracious and met all our needs. She directed to a couple of wonderful restaurants in the town. It was cold during part of our stay but the room was equipped with a heating unit so we were toasty once we figured out how to turn it on! I highly recommend this B&B for a stay in Lecce.

Spacious and elegant palazzo

We had a great 2 nights here. Martha, our host, was very friendly and excellent in suggesting restaurants to eat out at in the evenings, sights to see and how to get around. The rooms were very spacious and the B&B is in a very central location in Lecce.
