Eco del Mare Night and Day Beach Club

We stayed here for the first 4 days of our honeymoon. We very much enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect relaxing start to our holiday. Highlights: - rooms are spacious and clean and very tastefully decorated - staff are very friendly - beach is excellent, each room getting a parasol and 2 loungers - the small bay is easy to explore with plenty of interesting fish to watch amongst the rocks - the food is excellent, although dear. There isn't a great deal of choice if you don't like fish. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional. - we would recommend a trip to Tellaro. It's a beautiful quiet village with some nice restaurants and bars. It is possible to walk to Tellaro from Eco Del Mare. One recommendation for the hotel would be to get hold of some kayaks/canoes for guests to take out and paddle around the bay or offer scuba diving lessons. Maybe it's just me but I get a little bored lying on the beach and this would help to provide some variety. Final point and not relevant to the hotel but think carefully about a trip to Cinque Terre. It's a full day and involves a taxi to Lerici and a boat. The Cinque Terre heave with tourists, mostly off American cruise liners. The towns themselves are not that pretty (Tellaro is much prettier, better preserved and less touristy). The hike between Cinque Terre villages through the terraces is beautiful but very congested.
