We didn’t stay at the hotel so this review is solely about the restaurant. 
    We arrived at lunchtime and after a few mins waiting, we decided to seat ourselves at a table. 
    We ordered our drinks and within a couple of minutes were asked what we wanted to eat. My husband asked for another two minutes. 
    About ten minutes later and several attempts to catch a waitress eye, I had to actually stop a waitress by waving a menu at her as she passed by. We ordered.
    After another ten minutes in which a family had arrived next to us; ordered, been served and almost finished their food I had to get up and ask about our food, it arrived instantly. 
    My €13 Caprese antipasti was a mix of half cherry with chunks of larger tomatoes and some buffalo mozzarella dotted with small blobs of something flavourless and green. My husband’s bruschettona consisted of a bowl of chopped tomatoes and some sliced bread toast. Both dishes were utterly flavourless.. 
    Luckily I’d just bought a bruschetta herb mixture, so along with that, some oil & vinegar we managed something palatable. 
    Two stars because the situation is pleasant; the aperol spritz was good and when I left my specs behind they put them behind the till.

Flavourless food with disorganised ‘service.’

Very poor experience at the restaurant. View is superb. Service is disastrous. No attention to customers. Looking at maximizing the revenue from each table. People refused or moved from one table to another one. Very slow service. Very unusual in Italy

The view with very poor service

The place had a lot of free tables during the best possible lunch time and I don't wonder why. We ordered onion soup (~12€), french fries (~5,50€) and pasta carbonara (~13€). Unfortunately, bare french fries was the best dish there. Price to quality ratio was extremely weak. I wouldn't recommend as a restaurant.

Wouldn't recommend as a restaurant

Probably not the best choice for a lunch stop in Limone, but the restaurant was quite busy and has a good location, so we grabbed a table. Ordered 2 pasta dishes – they were huge, but primarily pasta not a lot of filling. It tasted ok. The service was ok, but they were very busy.

The waiters did not acknowledge us for 10 minutes and the food was too pricey for snack food and aperitif drinks. Lastly they took away the only full grissinis and left only the empty one. A disappointing experience. In generale le mie amiche straniere sono state derubate.

Awful service and overpriced menu

Stayed at the allbergo Bella vista with 5 of my friends in August we are all in our late 50,s but very young at heart the location of this hotel is excellent you walk out the front door and are straight on the main promenade overlooking the lake which is absolutely beautiful lots to do lots of shops and restaurants and lovely cobbled streets to explore so beautiful the food in all restaurants are good and the ice cream is to die for . All the staff and shopkeepers are pleasant and look after your every need x the hotel was old and maybe need a little updating but the owners are present and helpful the rooms are basic but comfortable we had a junior suite and a triple room the towels and sheets were changed every day x Breakfast was very Italian basic with lots of fruit and cakes but enough to see you through till lunch time x the town is not for party animals thought as everything is closed down by 2330! The restaurant next to the hotel bellavista has nothing to do with hotel but serve a very reasonable evening meal with very present staff 

Back to the 1940,s

This hotel operated by very sweet owners is ideally located with a private car park.
The rooms was very clean and have all the necessary things.
You can have breakfast on tree locations and there is enough choice.
We wil definitely stay there again.

Charming Hotel on the most beautiful location

The owner is a charming man who always has a smile on his face. Breakfast is buffet style and there is a considerable choice. A member of staff cooks an assortment of pastries, fruit pies etc which are delicious. 

The hotel is very old and this is part of its charm. However, the interior is dimly lit and could do with a makeover to freshen it up. 
Perhaps this is work in progress and our bedroom was nothing like we were expecting from photographs seen when making our booking. In particular the bathroom measured 8 ft square and included a wc, bidet, washbasin and shower, but the shower tray measured only 3 ft square around which was a shower curtain hung from a rail. The bedroom, although clean, was not inviting; the walls being plain white with few adornments and the furniture quite plain. The bedroom would have benefitted from tea and coffee making facilities. We had requested a balcony and whilst spacious it was also tired. This would have benefitted from some lighting (even a battery operated candle) as it gets dark early in September. However, it overlooked the lake.

Car parking is a challenge as you need to drive between the hotel and an adjacent restaurant, down a narrow pathway that turns 90 degrees. Restaurant guests seem quite bemused to see vehicles being driven down this path as it is barely wide enough, but wide enough it is and some quite large cars were parked up. 

Limone was very busy, even though this was late September, and appears to us to be geared up for tourists who visit in their droves. The shops mostly sell leather goods; handbags, shoes and jackets as well as trinkets. Limoncello shops abound. 



A bit tird

Great little lakefront hotel with very kind service from the owners.

Our room had great views of the lake and had a very reasonable size. Breakfast was also very varied and overall good. The hotel has also a small area for about 6-8 cars to park onsite, which was very helpful

Can't really fault anything. If back in limone sul garda, I would definitely stay here.

Excellent

This is an amazing 1907 built hotel, taking you back to the time when hotels were first built in Limone sul Garda and when it was actually much nearer the Lake before the promenade in front of it was built (OK its now only 30 metres away).

Its still run by the grandchildren of the family and it really gives a different feel to B&B. We had a family room - which is 2 rooms actually joined together with a curtain with 2 windows overlooking the lake - great view and ambience. Room was hot but there were 2 fans (no air con, but you wouldn't expect that in this hotel)

Breakfast is mostly always the same, but some very nice cakes on offer with cold ham , cheese, juice, fruit, boiled eggs and cereal. 

Beware the hot tub / jacuzzi wasn't in operation when we went and the reception needs some new sofas, but bedrooms and everything very clean.

Excellent lake front location for evening promenading and restaurants / boat trips.

Wew also had the benefit of 2 cellists who were due to play at the restaurant on the front (not run by the family), but didn't play because of the one night of rain we had, and they played Bohemian Rhapsody in the breakfast room - amazing!
