We stayed 1 week at Borgo Sorbatti in the country house. We were 3 families 6 adults and 6 kids. The villa is very spacious and we had room enough for everybody. The equipment in the house is also satisfying. The property and the whole compound is well maintained. Very clean and organised. The staff are really friendly. Alda and Barbara the owners gave us so much tips what to do in the surroundings. The pool area is big and clean. Thanks again for the pleasant stay we had. I must say the price we paid is really a great deal! I can only recommend! 
Btw, a nice experience as well was the family owned winery at La Murola. Great wine and entertainment. Alda can make an appointment to have a tour and wine tasting!

Excellent villa and great value!

We were invited to a wedding and this guest house was reserved for close friends and family and how lucky we were.  The house is ancient and beautifully refurbished.  I saw all the rooms, which had kingsize beds, lovely linens and bathrooms ensuite (small but very adequate).  Though there is no air conditioning, it would not have been necessary even in July when it was hot - the fan in the ceiling plus the breeze was more than enough to be comfortable and we slept very well.  Now, imagine coming down to the beautiful garden in the morning and being greeted with fresh baked cakes, bread, yogurt, jams and coffee, tea, juices all laid out under the trees.  Heaven!  The best bit for me was the huge pool which I swam in every morning and one night at midnight under a full moon.  This guest house is very special.  You must book - the owner is on site and everything is pristine.   A fabulous find.

A Gem in Loro Piceno

The region of Le Marche is Italy's best kept secret (all the scenic delights of Tuscany and Umbria without the hordes of tourists!)  A reunion with old friends led us to to the village of Loro Piceno and the sanctuary of Borgo Sorbatti.   Our stay here was all we had hoped for and more.  The 19th century villa and gardens gave us an insight into the life of the Sorbatti family, complemented by the genuine warmth and hospitality of our hostess Alda.  Our accommodation was in the converted stables - lovingly restored by Alda's late mother Ci.   A comfy bed, modern ensuite in a bright room overlooking the gardens was lovely - and large living and dining spaces to share with fellow guests (Who were all Italians seeking country tranquility)  The decor was a mixture of antiques and family mementos, with open fires and doors opening to the garden and vistas of the surrounding hills adding to it's appeal.   If you arrive in summer their is a great pool too.  Breakfast was homemade by a delightful lady from the village.  Loro is a walled village set high on a hill, with 360 degree views of the mountains, farmland, vineyards, and neighbouring hilltop villages.
Of course it has its own castle, and a maze of lanes with history at every corner.  Don't miss calling in on the local butcher - it is a unique experience, say no more!   Also visit La Murola winery a few kms away, "poetry in a chalice".    All in all, a wonderful memory of staying in a genuine country home, garden and village.
