My family and I truly loved our week-long stay at La Cappella. It's a gorgeous property high above the city center of Lucca. With that said, it's best to have a car. We did not, and ended up getting taxis every time. Apparently there are only 25 taxis in Lucca, so it was not always easy for us to get to the city center. The entire staff at La Cappella are incredibly helpful, generous, and hospitable, including their little kitten Allericco! We enjoyed spending time on their patio playing cards, reading, and taking in the beautiful view. They also offer the most incredible dinner. It was always fantastic! Breakfast in the mornings were equally as good. Our rooms were nice, tidy and clean. It was an amazing experience and a wonderful stay at La Cappella. If you want to escape the city and be off the beaten track, then you will love La Cappella too!
