We stayed on the 2nd floor and the room was perfect for what we needed. We had a gorgeous view of the lake. Room was clean & tidy and the bathroom was good. Breakfast was good and the staff were kind & friendly. Cristian was warming and helpful even before our arrival.

Great Location, Great Staff, Great Price

I booked Casa Gabriele based on the reviews.  We didn't want somewhere fancy, we wanted somewhere friendly.  Friendly is exactly what we got.  The host Christian could not have done enough for us, he was great.  We had a room with a balcony and lovely view of the castle and lake.  There are only a couple of rooms with balconies so we would recommend booking one of them.  Also one room with a large terrace.  Our room was cleaned and made up every day and we had no issues with cleanliness, very clean indeed.  Rooms are basic but keep in mind this is a more of a B&B than a hotel.  However, there is a bar (€1 wine!) and you get to eat breakfast on the terrace which is lovely.  It has lots of parking which can be difficult in Malcesine and is only a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and bars.  If you are looking for value for money, exceptionally clean, great location and not too fancy place to stay in Malcesine then this is a great little find.  We already know where we will be staying the next time we visit and look forward to meeting Christian again.  Steve & Claire from Scotland.

Great little find with a warm and friendly welcome

we stayed in Malcesine as part of a trip around Italy.  Having stayed in Malcesine a year earlier much closer to the centre we thought that this B&B may be a little too far out, but manageable given the lower price (in comparison to other available accommodation).  In reality, the b&b was fantasically located, only a 10 minute walk from the main restaurants etc yet still only 1 minute from the lake.
Our hosts made us very welcome.  The room was clean on arrival and cleaned daily.
Breakfast was also wonderful and the option of a boiled egg was a great touch.

Great place, great host and great location

We are very happy with our recent stay at Casa Gabriele, before we arrived communication from Cristian was brilliant. 
When we arrived the room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, and a bar inside also!
The B&B is in a great location for walking into Malcesine, and had great views across the lake!
Breakfast was also lovely each morning with a variety of choices for all. 
We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely place to stay and great value for money

I have stayed at the Casa Gabriele on a few occasions for business. This year, the rooms and hallways had been refurbished to a high standard and this has benefited the hotel definitely. I always find a friendly welcome here, the rooms are clean and my single room has a private bathroom across the hallway which is ok for me as a single traveller - its private and only I have the key. 

The single room I stayed in is small, but functional with a sink, tv, great views, a small desk and a comfortable bed. The separate bathroom across the hall is huge! Breakfast is good - lots of choice of fresh food, eggs cooked to order and its a lovely place to sit and eat whilst overlooking the castle and lake. I used this literally as a base to sleep, eat breakfast and work, but there is a lounge, tv and a variety of beers stocked at the bar. Its 5 minutes walk to Malcesine, 10 minute to the centre so the location overlooking the castle and lake is perfect for those requiring a budget hotel to use as a base to explore Malcesine and surrounding areas on Lake Garda.  It is worth mentioning that the wifi is free and a good connection too. 

My only negative would be that the room was very hot, and there was no fan or air con, but when you look at the price paid, you get what you pay for  - with it being on the lake front, there was a gentle breeze if you left the window open albeit that its next to the main road, so can get noisy if you leave a window open once the delivery men and motorbikes start their day! However, you know what you are going to get for the price you pay before you book, so in my opinion this was a good place to stay and I will definitely stay here again in future. 

i would recommend a stay here as its a comfortable, functional, friendly place, great owners, great location and a great price too - rare in Malcesine as I do find it an expensive place to be in comparison with other places around Italy I visit.
