Having recently spent almost 2 weeks over New Year at Hotel Rauzi with family and friends, we can say this hotel is simply fantastic both for summer and winter holidays in Val Di Sole.

The cuisine was excellent, varied and plentiful with typical local dishes as well as some modern healthy additions this year (Goji berries, pumpkin seeds and ginger & lemon teas were most welcome surprises by the salad buffet)
 
The rooms and ensuite bathrooms were warm, very comfortable and the cleanest ever.

The hotel runs a private shuttle bus service that took us to the ski pistes and back, almost on demand, and in only about 6 minutes. It felt like having a private driver, who was polite, helpful and just really nice all of the time.
 
The official ski instructor even came to the hotel every evening so we were able to sit with him, discuss our needs and book and pay for all our lessons. His experienced and honest advice provided a wonderful ski experience and saved us the hassle of queueing at the ski school or waiting in the cold. 

We were also able to rent and pay for all our equipment at the hotel itself after trying it on at the Val di Sole VDS Sport shop, just round the corner. The owner, who also comes to the hotel every evening, delivered it for us straight to the Hotel’s ski depot and heated boot room. 

The children were happily entertained every evening free of charge for almost 2 hours making arts & crafts and playing in the Hotel's games room, safely supervised by a very nice teacher. Even being ill, our child could not wait to play with her.

In the meantime, the adults could relax in the wellness centre, which we booked exclusively for us. There is a sauna, steam room, showers and a very large and modern whirlpool and relaxation area. All is tastefully and beautifully decorated and exquisitely clean and modern. 

All these personalised services seem customary at Hotel Rauzi, but we would expect them rather in five star resorts. Coupled with the politeness of the staff and the owners, who are always so kind, dedicated and hardworking and that you can see strive every day to anticipate for all of their guests’ needs and also take great care of their property, it made this a perfect hotel for our winter holiday with children and that of our friends as a couple. Why would anyone stay anywhere else?

To book a room I would recommend calling or emailing them directly as other websites often show no availability even weeks in advance...

We highly recommend Hotel Rauzi if you want to spend a lovely holiday in Val di Sole in the Dolomites. 

The hotel is very well run, the staff are very kind and professional and really took care of all our needs, making our stay extremely comfortable.
We truly felt at home and we were sorry to have to leave!

The hotel is great value for money. Everything is pristinely clean and beautifully decorated. It was excellent to be there as a family, as children can run safely in the hotel gardens in the sun, or play in the indoor games/TV room. 

The food selection was varied, healthy and the portions generous and delicious. The staff are always very friendly and attentive, ready to help with important little details like saving one of the delicious desserts or accommodating our
children's food choices.

The location is excellent, with beautiful views from our balcony whilst only being a short stroll away from the lovely village centre. It was great for exploring the whole valley and the neighbouring national parks too.

The hotel is also well set-up for sports. We were able to have amazing experiences thanks to the owner's unique expertise and knowledge of everything beautiful in these mountains. 
We took out one of the hotel's many mountain bikes and did some great rides around the valley and the hills in the summer. The hotel's advice was priceless.

Having travelled to many different places across the world, we can honestly say the experience Hotel Rauzi provides is hard to match and definitely the only place we will consider staying in when we return to the Dolomites and Val di Sole.

Best hotel in the Dolomites for location, food, sports, families and overall satisfaction!

The hotel is a lovely small hotel with very friendly personel. Great areas for socializing and having fun. A room only for kids with different games and activities.
The food is good and every day you have several dishes to choose from. Breakfast is ok, you will be satisfied even if you will miss your favorite stuff.
The rooms are small and dark but since there are so many other areas to use in the hotel it does not matter, you only need to sleep in the room. 
Everyday there is a shuttle bus to Daolasa were you can take the lift up to the ski area. Very good service!

Lovely family hotel with good food

This little fantastic hotel will give you the best experience possible when you are in Val di Sole for Skiing in the winter or for summer activities. Marco and Paola will take care of you so you feel right at home and the rest of the personnel is also just fantastic. Great food and all the outdoor activities will make you sleep well and wake up refreshed and ready for new adventures. Highly recommended !!

The best hotel to stay in when you are in Val di Sole

We stayed at Hotel Rauzi in Malé which we have done several times before. The atmosphere was as always VERY friendly and the hospitality fantastic. Marco and Paola and their whole staff did, as always, a fantastic job in all respects.

We will visit Hotel Rauzi again and strongly recommend everybody else to do the same. Thee Hotel in Val di Sole (or perhaps even in Italy).
