The room is clean, and tidy too. The view from the windows is gorgeous, you can see the mountains. The bed was great, it was comfortable. We are going to visit the hotel again soon. We recommend this hotel to everyone. We are going to tell our friends to come to this place.

Calva is special. Rooms kept in good modern style, all made in natural materials and by local craftsmen/women. Really made with an eye for a small detail. It is on the road, but quiet. In the morning, you open the window/balcony and enjoy fresh air and landscape. 

We stayed in the appartment - there was a well-equipped kitchen, in case we wanted to cook. For those who like eating out, Calva has a great choice of dishes in its restaurant. Pay attention to the pizza: if you like novelties, check those with new kinds of flour. But also the local dishes, kitchen from Südtirol. Strudel and home-made Limincello!

Good in Calva is that after a few days you even know where do the products come from: they are all from the local producers (also wines - from the small bio wineyard in Laatsch!)

Holidays there are not only about indulging yourself! You find great trekking tours starting in and around Laatsch, small and big mountains. The same goes for bikers. Great place to start your bicycle tours. I guess skiing in Winter is great, too.

Calva wouldnt be the same with people working there: the owners, Elisabeth and Norbert, are not only cheerful folk but take care of you in many ways. The whole team works like in a clock and is just sooo nice. Nice people, nice place. We are already thinking about going back!

Perfect place in Südtirol

Calva Apartments are modern, nice, clean. They are very very kind. Breakfast is big and there are lot of options. Restaurant is also a very good one. They have many kind of pizzas and other kind of food you should try.

We loved it

We spent the night unexpectedly on our way to Switzerland since the passes were closed due to snow. The rooms are beautiful - very comfortable beds, good lighting, essential kitchenette, utilities, great bathroom. Easy to find, parking in front. Great breakfast - served at table, no self-service. Evening meal superb, huge servings, nice atmosphere. Before 6 p.m. only pizzas, after 6 p.m. fills up quickly with locals and tourists. Friendly service.

We visit this B&B / Restaurant yearly for well over 10 years now. For many years owned by family Alber and since 2005 taken over by the daughter Elisabeth and her husband Norbert. 
Their website is very truthfull about the experience of staying and eating. Quite simple the reason we keep on returning. 
We can recommend Calva to everyone. 

A warm stay for many years now all new. 

The inn is located very convenient for those traveling to Italy from Switzerland or Austria. In fact, we didn’t expect to find a gem in а godforsaken place. But the village turned out to be ancient and lovely, and the residence – above all expectations. Our stay was excellent all round: a nice apartment with fully equipped kitchenette, clean bathroom, spacious  balcony, perfect WiFi, modest price etc. To our surprise, the apartment was quiet, despite being located above the restaurant. By the way, you will find there an amazingly wide selection of pizzas and some tasty local dishes – strikely recommended.  
At last, exceptionally pleasant welcome should be highlighted: frau Elizabeth was notably helpful and friendly! We were offered a choice of two apartments at no charge.
Do not miss the opportunity of a 30-min stroll to a touching tiny town of Glurns within still-extant city walls.

Great for exploring South Tyrol

Csodaszép környezetben, igazi vidéki, pihentető hangulattal találkozhat az ember. Nagyon tágas, tiszta szoba teljesen felszerelt konyhával, az erkélyről csodálatos kilátással a közeli hegyekre. A szállodához tartozó étterem és a konyhája kifogástalan, minden étel páratlan volt a tökéletes pizzával együtt :), mindez barátságos árakkal. Kedves,udvarias és segítőkész a személyzet minden tagja. Mindenkinek csak ajánlani tudom.....nem fogja megbánni. Mi még biztosan visszatérünk. 
Beautiful surroundings and relaxing atmosphere.
The room was spacious and clean with a fully equipped kitchen, from the balcony with wonderful views of the nearby mountains. The hotel's restaurant and the kitchen were impeccable, all the food was very delicious the best was the unforgettable pizza :), all in affordable prices. All staff members are kind, courteous and helpful. I recommend you this place ..... you will not regret it. We will definitely return.

Perfect hotel with excellent restaurant in beautiful location

Rooms are well appointed and clean (although a fan would have been appreciated at this time of year), the location is beautiful with some stunning scenery nearby, it's near a road but it's quiet at night, and the food in the restaurant was good. It's about 15 mins from either starting point for Umbrail and Stelvio passes so allows an early start if you are looking to go there (important to avoid the crowds).
