This place is a different experience (in a good way), the owner is a real character (in a good way). For dinner good steaks from the bbq outside. A lovely Sri Lancan couple preparing and serving the food. Great bruschette! Nice music-jazz, blues and even a performance of the owner at times! Inside a masterpiece movie projected to the wall. The atmosphere is positive and friendly. So if you want something different and good homemade food -visit Locanda Laudomia! It's worth a visit. 

A different kind of place

I have stayed many times in Locanda Laudomia over the past few years.

The rooms are simple and comfortable. Breakfast can be ordered at any time (if you give prior warning).   The warmth of the owners is incredible. They make you feel as if you were a part of their family.  The bar has a lovely garden and I have seen that children and animals are particularly welcome.  The views from many of the rooms are really panoramic.  You see the whole of the Maremma to the sea.  If you are lucky you may coincide with a musical or cultural event organized by the owner Gianluca. The "albergo" is close to all the local tourist sites (Saturnia, Pitigliano).  A place I will always remember.

  

This is a really

charming and unusual

Travelling with 2 friends, we spent 3 nights at the Laudomia, and we loved it. It is close to the Terme di Saturnia, Pitigliano, and all other sights in the area. Even the sea is only a 30 minute drive. It is a simple hotel,( no gym or swimmingpool) but nice beds, and clean rooms, an the owner Gianluca must be one of the nicest persons I have met. He helped us with eveything, where to go, how to go, and what not to do. And we had a wonderful time in his bar downstairs before sleep ( with Gianluca on the piano). I will return.
