Situated right on the town’s central junction (see photo), Drake could not be more central. We went for afternoon drinks and snacks and enjoyed our visit. In summer, it would be even nicer sitting in its outdoor terraced area.

Look for the Michael Schumacher and Gilles Villeneuve artwork on the outside wall (see photo). A nice 60 minutes.

Maranello‘s most-central hotel, restaurant and bar

After a three-hour journey we arrive at 5pm on Saturday afternoon, we unload the car with all the suitcases and after having managed to talk to a responsible person this tells us that the bathroom is inaccessible and they invite us to make a hotel change in fact that they say is a few steps away and of quality. The superiority was not found, in fact, because more and with smaller rooms and windows of the Drake. We chose the Drake because it had the interior parking lot and could return to the little renovated rooms, where they directed us beyond the old rooms and the upper parking lot, we had to return to the hotel with a new parking space and a new parking space, we had to replace the old one with a new one.

Better to Lose

Poor service and incompetent waitresses, price changes on the same drink without motivation, wrong orders with even order delivery with an extra cocktail but already consumed by others with obvious dirty glasses, I will never return

Evening with the company

Lunch in the early afternoon, casually. Great impression in finding the kitchen available at 2.30pm in a village where other commercial activities are at closing time. Small snack offered in anticipation, appreciated but improving. First dishes well cooked, but without praise x the lack of discouragement of rice speck and apple. Praise for the beef cut: very tender... at medium cooking was cut with the only fork! Gentle and attentive staff. Average, proportionate to the kitchen and the environment.

Good dining at the Drake.

We chose this hotel for our very specific parking requirements, travelling through Europe in an old Ferrari and the location being very close to the Ferrari factory for our booked tour. We arrived at the hotel after a very long drive to be faced with no apparent reception whatsoever, just a bar with a few young guys hanging around and a man with a petrol engined leaf blower in the conservatory area, making any kind of conversation all but impossible (he didn't seem to have the sense or courtesy to switch it off). We eventually managed to communicate with the man behind the bar that we were hotel guests, at which point he picked up his mobile and made a couple of calls. The only replay we got was "you go to other hotel" and he tried to send us to a sister hotel which was absolutely not what we wanted.

We loaded the car back up and drove to OUR second choice (the Maranello Palace - very good by the way) and cancelled the Drake booking over the phone with our booking website company. They were understanding and we were not charged a cancellation fee.

I chose the Drake due to its good reviews but I simply don't understand how a 3* hotel can have such a poor reception service. My advice, at least it sorts out these issues is choose somewhere else.

We couldn't even stay there

I booked a double room spending 60€ a night with breakfast. The hotel is practically a village centre and below there is a good restaurant which is also a place where you can end the night in a hut. The spacious and clean room, equipped with all the comforts does not suffer from the movement below. Breakfast in the average

The prices contained

This hotel can be booked on various booking sites, but the fact is that when we arrived, the manager took us to the Planet Hotel, which we really liked.
