We stayed at this most breathtaking mountain side resort with friends in May 2022, and there are truly not enough words to describe the beauty and history of this retreat. We were greeted by the owner Salvatore, Sandra and their daughter Georgia and treated like extended family throughout our 2 night stay. This 1700 year old main building has all of the history and charm with a 400 year old addition added to keep with the period of the surrounding area. All of the charm with all of the amenities you would ever require. The 2 separate suites are so romantic and comfortable, we stayed in 'Suite Gio' and opening the doors was like stepping into your own private castle! The canopied bed, the wooden stand alone tub, the double balconies over looking the entire Umbria county side, it was fantastical!!! If you want a true escape this is the place to go. The sunrise was moving! The spa, the pool, it all just added to the most amazing stay. And the food, make sure you come with a healthy appetite! The 5 course meal seemed to never end and each course was outstanding. They do exceptional meals cooked with love and they excel at Gluten Free as well if that is a concern for anyone. For a fun day trip, take a quick ride into Perugia or Assisi (the most pristine little town), both a beautiful drive away. I am the most discerning of hotel/bed & breakfast stayers, with very high standards, and if there were more than 5 stars to give this resort I would give them all!!! This entire resort is manicured, clean, the bedding and beds are extremely comfortable, the food was exceptional as stated and the service went above and beyond! I can't imagine returning to Italy and not making the trip to visit Salvatore, Sandra and Georgia, it is worth the short drive (2 hours from Rome) to this most magical hidden treasure.
