Our hostess, Gianna was wonderful with great communication before we arrived and was there ready and waiting to greet us.  Easy to find and WOW what a lovely location with super views.  We were the only guests as we travelled out of the main season and  had the place to ourselves.  We only had the one night there but could definitely have stayed for more if we had the time as it was so quiet and great location for some cycling or walking.  Gianna made a recommendation for dinner which was lovely in the town about 5 mins drive away and again this is a special place and lovely to walk around before and after dinner.  We did not have breakfast as we had brought our own but Gianna picked up a fresh baguette for us so we could make our lunch as we were on a road trip with some cycling so a packed lunch was the order of the day!  I would highly recommend this wonderful place and if visiting Massa Marittima again we will be back to stay - thanks Gianna for making our stay SO special.

Fabulous overnight stay!

We liked the food, the service was excellent, wonderful scenery, the staff attended to every thing that we needed, the price was reasonable, and the house was gorgeous.. 
We had a minor problem with the room that was quickly fixed

Beautiful place

Fortunately we only booked one night here. We love Agriturismos and felt sorry for anyone whose first experience was here. They are meant for eating and drinking great meals and wine. 
The dinner was all microwaved food (we barely ate any of it), the beverages were not included (which is strange in these types of stays) and the waitress was rude. We asked for olive oil and we were told to go get it ourselves from inside the kitchen area. There were ants in the bedroom, only 1/3 roll of toilet paper, and the wifi didn't work. They had us review our stay on a paper sheet before leaving, we rated honestly of course, & now are unable to review them on Booking. Overall terrible experience. 

Bad food, bad service. 

Undoubtedly a beautiful main building, set along a quiet road and with a view of Massa Marittima and olive groves. However the food is average, even poor by normal agroturismo standards. It is inconceivable that they would serve processed mozzarella (this is not coming from a cheese snob - but really it was straight out of a Kraft package) - and the dishes are really disappointing. I would give it a miss, as there are other agroturismo nearby that are much much better.

Stunning scenery, poor food

We were 4 ladies on a cycling holiday, this accommodation had been booked for us by our tour company. We had requested two twin bed rooms & were told this had been confirmed, it was clearly stated on our documents. So on arrival we were allocated two double rooms, we stated this was not acceptable so were offered the solution of two child size camp beds in the kitchen between the two double bedrooms!!! I stated this was not acceptable & was told there was nothing else. So we planned to settle in & try to make the best of it. Then...... We discovered the beds were damp & set about taking the sheets off, placing them in the sun & using hair dryers to dry the beds. The managers response to this was to give us containers to absorb the damp. At 7pm in the evening they advised there had been a cancellation & provided another room with a double bed & full size bed settee.

Other issues were- towels we had placed on the floor of the shower to be replaced were hung up for our use the next day, including a dripping wet bath mat, rolls at breakfast appeared to be rationed, we were the last down & had to ask for more, on both mornings we were given 3 between 4 of us. The only other bread was what looked like the leftover bread from the evening before bread basket which had been toasted, left cold & was inedible. Rubbish was not collected from our room, we left it outside & the owner collected it. There were other minor issues but I would begin to look petty if I listed them all

The place had potential but unfortunately basic standards of service were sadly lacking. Our tour company have been informed of all the issues & have photographic evidence of the beds in the kitchen
