We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Tenuta Santa Maria every time! It is situated in a beautiful and private olive grove and is peaceful and quiet. Pino is an excellent host and can arrange anything you need. We have stayed in two units and they both have everything you need including a full kitchen. The units are all updated, extremely clean and have air conditioning and WiFi. Mattinata has beautiful beaches as well as hiking trails and there are many things to do very close by the farm. There are several cities nearby if you want to branch out and see other places.

Amazing Farm and Location

Tenuta Santa Maria is an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful place to stay.  I highly recommend it if you are visiting Mattinata with family because of the beautiful olive orchard that surrounds it and it’s exceptional cleanliness, comfort and privacy.  The owner’s family is right on the property and will help you with anything you need.  If you forget anything you can walk down the street just a few minutes and find a pretty well stocked small store called Totaro for anything you may have forgotten while shopping for meals.

The beach is about a 10 minute walk, so you don’t need to worry about parking your car as well which is a huge plus in the summer. 

No need to get in the car for a meal in the town either, as this is just a short 15 min walk to the Corso where there are plenty of pizzerias and restaurants to visit.

Peaceful, private and beautiful.

We always enjoy our stay at the Tenuta Santa Maria which is located on a beautiful olive grove. We have stayed in three different sized apartments on the property for a month or more on separate occasions. It perfectly located between the charming little town and the gorgeous beaches. You can reach both in less than a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. There are many delicious restaurants in town and on the sea.  All the apartments on the property are spacious and comfortable. They have good working AC and some units have ceiling fans as well. They all have well stocked kitchens, plenty of storage space, modern bathrooms and  are always sparkling clean. The property is secure with a gate and abundant parking. The owners are the most wonderful hosts, making you feel at home during your stay and taking care of all your needs. We definitely recommend a visit!

Perfect location!

I had the pleasure of staying at Tenuta Santa Maria from October to Dec 2020. Pino and Caterina were perfect hosts . Because of quarantine restrictions, Pino did my grocery shopping and brought me pizzas. The rooms have every amenity for long term stays including a full kitchen and full size refrigerator. The establishment has a sun deck on the roof for sun bathing or exercise and  is  very tranquil.  The place is spotless clean and there is plenty of parking off the street on the grounds. Best place to stay in Mattinata by far!

Best Place to Stay in Mattinata

My family and I just finished a stay here and we had a wonderful experience.  The unit we stayed in was a very good size with two bedrooms and it was completely renovated.  The kitchen was fully equipped with a new full size refrigerator and all the accessories needed to cook right in the unit.  The bathroom was large and the shower had unlimited hot water along with great water pressure.  The property itself is fully gated and surrounded by olive trees which adds to the experience.  The beach and the town of Mattinata are a short walk along a sidewalk from the property.  The owner is extremely attentive to anything you might need during your stay.  Comfort and location were perfect.

Wonderful Italian Experience!

A dream week in Matinata: immersed in a splendid olive grove with huge olive trees loaded with olives, the apartments are derived from the careful renovation of a farmhouse. We stayed at the Melograno, super comfortable and elegantly equipped with everything, including a welcome kit of all respect (water and drinks already in cold, but above all the exquisite sweets of the Pasticceria Ciangularie, from which it is mandatory to pass to extra supplies).

The accommodation is comfortable. The villas are all new and well maintained. I have stayed at the Melograno, a villa of about 100 square meters. Everything is wonderfully new and functional. The owner's hospitality is fantastic. Pine is always available on any need. The whole accommodation is ideal for those who need to rest and unwind from the frenzy of the cities. The location is excellent. Close to the banks and the harbour which can be reached on foot. Recommended.

Fantastic structure well managed by the excellent owner Pino

We stayed a week in this beautiful place in Matinata in the fountain. We found ourselves very well from every point of view. The very well-equipped apartments are equipped with everything necessary (including washing machine and dishwasher) and the way the structure is developed guarantees the privacy of everyone. The beautiful town of Matinata is reached with a walk. On arrival we were welcomed by the owner Pino who made us find in the fridge fresh Bibles and delicious sweets of the Ciangularie pastry shop that his lovely wife manages in Matinata.

A Corner of Paradise

I was on business travel and stayed 2 months in the 2 bedroom Apt. Pino greeted me upon arrival with a translator as I didn't speak Italian. He took the time to make me feel welcome and brought some fresh bakery items. That 1st class greeting was representative of the rest of my stay! He helped in any way he could, from showing me and my son around, to taking me to the barber and introducing me to anyone that you could think of for everyday needs. His apartments are new, efficient and in impeccable condition! If your looking for gated privacy, within walking to the beach, Mattinata village or great restaurants, the marina santa Tenuta is your place!!

Hospitality unsurpassed!

I just wrapped up a 10 day stay at Tenuta Santa Maria and it was AWESOME! The host Pino, is kind, generous and very gracious. I had two problems during my stay and Pino was on site within 5 minutes of my text. The water went out due to a problem in the water main (lasted 4 hrs) and the other was BX to fix the WiFi. I stayed in Casa Melograno, a two bedroom cottage with a nice living room and full kitchen and dining area. Pino even provided 2 cokes, beers, orange juice and water when I checked in. Additionally, his family owns Ciangularie, the premier pastry shop in the region. He provide a small bag of goodies when I checked in and a large amount to take home. There are many fruit trees on the property and I had fresh oranges and lemons daily. The location is perfect...wedged between the beach and the charming village of Mattinata, both within walking distance. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Mattinata, Tenuta Santa Maria is perfect.
