My daughter and I stayed here in May 2023 for five nights in the family room on the first floor.  We loved every minute of our stay!  Not a fancy place, but perfect in every way! We had a bedroom with a double bed and a set of bunkbeds. Also we had a little breakfast room with a table and huge window that looked out over the lake.  Plus we had a little terrace with a table set and it also looked out over the lake. Every night we went to sleep to the sound of the waves on the shore.  Every morning we bought a very reasonable priced breakfast from the bar and ate it looking out at the lake. Every day some one came and tidied our room.  The hotel is about 1 km outside of Menaggio, we did not have a car but we did not mind the beautiful walk back and forth along the lake each day. The owners are very helpful and kind.  I highly recommend staying here and will if I ever come back to the charming town of Menaggio.

Best place in Menaggio!

Booked a 4 night stay on the day, as our previous hotel was unsatisfactory! Arriving in the dark, we couldn't appreciate it, but as the sun rose in the morning, we discovered Hotel Garden however was the perfect gem. We stayed in the annex, with a recently refurbished room and modern bathroom, including electric shutters. Amenities such as the fridge and air-con didn't go a miss either, they were lovely to have. The view from the balcony onto the lake was absolutely spectacular and we ate our breakfast (bought from the hotel reception for a very reasonable price) on this every day. The walk into central menaggio was quick, where easy access could be found to restaurants, activities, cafes as-well as ferries to the other towns on the lake. The price of the stay was also very reasonable, and compatible to other properties in the area. This family run hotel deserve all the business and custom they get, they made our time on Como truly amazing. Thank you for your wonderful room and view!

Gem!

We were trying to find accommodation in Varenna while on a road trip but there were no vacancies. The only thing we could find in the region close to the lake was Hotel Garden in Menagio and we are so glad we stayed there . Rooms were new, very clean and a good size with amazing views across the lake . Staff were very friendly and helpful. We could park the car right outside the room so made reorganising our luggage so easy .
Would definitely stay here again as was so quiet and relaxing.
It was about a 10-15 min walk to the centre of Menagio, but it’s an easy walk and good way to walk off the dinner and wine. Menagio is not as busy as Bellagio and Varenna so made it easier to get a nice meal after a day of hussle and bustle in the other towns and on the ferries.

Magic place right on the shores of Lake Como

We spent three nights in this lovely hotel. Very nice and friendly staff, good breakfast. The room was nice and very clean with a beautiful view over the lake. It is about 20 minutes walk to the center but is a nice walk. Really a place to recommend.
