Stayed here one night in August as a layover before catching a ferry out to the Eolian Islands. In terms of location it is ideal if you need access to the port - only a 5 min stroll to the ferries. It's also just round the corner from the large cathedral/church in the town centre, and there are numerous bars and cafe/restaurants literally on the door step. Very handy. Note that you can't drive up to the entrance - it's on a pedestrianised street sandwiched between two restaurants with large outdoor areas. The room was reasonable for a B&B, nothing too special here. We had a large one on the corner of the building with multiple windows, very effective a/c which was needed! Perfectly comfortable and functional accommodation. Though the lady on the front desk didn't speak much English at all, we got by perfectly well with our pigeon Italian and international sign language! She was extra friendly too and insisted we stop for some breakfast on the way out the next morning, really very generous and wanted to ensure we had a good time. It would've been nice to stay another night and experience some of Messina, however we had a ferry to catch. Definitely recommend this place if you are in town. They have free Wi-Fi too (take note, English B&B's!!)
