Excellent starting point for numerous excursions on Lake Maggiore (Isles Borromee, Stresa, Locarno), on Lake Orta, in the Ossola and in the beautiful surrounding valleys (Antrona, Parchi Veglia and Devero, Val Formazza etc.). Not to be underestimated the hiking routes in the mountains surrounding the borders with the National Park Val Grande.

Eighth report Quality-price

Stayed on the last Saturday of August 2015. Environment with a beautiful family atmosphere, in the village of Miazzina (it is possible to move, the village offers little) about 5 km from the shores of Lake Maggiore. Room and bath ok. Breakfast of very good quality. Unfortunately we did not have dinner there and the feeling is that we have missed something. Great stay.

I stayed with my three children at this hotel for the weekend of August; the rooms are spacious, discreetly furnished and clean; the environment is familiar and the staff is friendly and available. The restaurant offers good, simple and genuine dishes. The Italian breakfast is excellent, where I recommend tasting the fantastic homemade cakes. The only negative note, an inadequate Wi-Fi line, and my tech-savvy children made me weigh it down...

Relaxation and tranquility in family

I haven't been to eat or sleep in this hotel restaurant, but I can guarantee that breakfast is worth it: fresh and varied cakes, very good, accompanied by a great coffee service on the terrace of the main square, fresh from the heat of this hot summer.

The hotel Villa Luigia is located in the small mountain village of Miazzina about 7km northwest of Verbania, above Lake Maggiore. The hotel was obviously recently completely renovated and is therefore in good condition. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar. The room was very spacious and clean, as well as the bathroom. The shower has a massage function for the back and legs. For our stay, we were simply booked a board (breakfast and dinner) above the lake Maggiore. The dinner was acceptable, as there was at least a snack bar or a noodle bar, and as a main entrance you could eat at least two outdoor bars (usually a lunch bar) from the nearby bar. Unfortunately, however, we were unfortunately not allowed to eat until the early morning.
