Fantastic hospitality, lovely big room with a child's bed, open fire on cooler evenings, great food, amazing location, fantastic panoramas. Easy and harder walks on the door step. Local amenities if you've forgotten anything. Highly recommended!

Amazing holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay in this family run hotel. From the warm welcome, lovely spacious room with balcony and superb view across the valley it was all excellent. We had half board, the food was simple but freshly cooked and well presented. Highly recommended.

Hotel Opinione

We went to the restaurant of this hotel during the Sagra della Ciuiga as it was listed as one of the venues that were offering traditional meals for the local feast.
I must say that the service at this hotel is excellent and very welcoming.  Apart from the ambience of the restaurant which is very nice the food was excellent.  The service was great and very efficient.  Even the quality of their house wine was great.
If we happen to be on vacation in the area we will surely book at this hotel.

Excellent traditional fare

We went with our family and we were surprised with the hotel.
Great service, great food and the place is wonderfull.
It's a family hotel and we felt the good ambient since the begining.
The places to go nearby San Lorenzo are also incredible.

Super special!!!

This hotel was amazing! Three stars? It feels like four! Amazingly beautiful hotel, flowers everywhere. We had a balcony and the room was wonderful!  My husband even noted the high quality light switches and wood everywhere, even on the headboard.  There were even memory foam headboards! The city itself is spectacular to walk around. The manager, Claudio is very friendly and we would completely stay here again!!!

Fantastic hotel and town!

This is the first time we've been in a half-board hotel in the mountains and we loved it. San Lorenzo in Banale is an award winning gorgeous town of Italy and it truly deserves the award. Opinione is as good of a hotel. it's rare to see a hotel as clean and friendly as the Opinione is. I cannot stress the friendliness of the family enough. You are their guest and everyone bends backwards to be helpful. 

We stayed for 5 nights and did 4 varying hikes in the area. The views are astounding and you have a lot to choose from. Half board was great with sore muscles: you just got to the table between 7:30 and 8:00 and you got a good italian meal. Simple.

The restaurant was good and reliable. Local food done well, with lots of pork and some beef, fish and chicken. If you like italian food, you'll get a good dinner every night, with some of them containing pleasant surprises. The breakfasts are good as well, although the cappuccino is excellent but the filter coffee not so good. We prefer cappuccino in any case.

In good weather you can see for tens of kilometers from the complimentary jacuzzi on the terrace. Go for it.

An additional point: you don't have to drink the whole bottle of wine every night. The staff will store your left-over bottle and it'll be waiting for you the next night on your table. This was a very cozy and homely approach. (The wine-list is compact with wines in the 15€-21€ range. Go for the top-of the line. You can afford it.)

Dolomites and ***** hospitality for a *** price

We were in Hotel Opinione as a group of friends. The hotel was busy so we were the unlucky guys who got a room with pretty small beds but I know all our other friends had great rooms and quality beds so just make sure you get a good room :).
The staff is very amicable and welcoming. They care about your wellbeing. The owner is a great cook and the menu in the evening is delicious. Really no need to search for a restaurant especially after a long day of excursions.
Highly recommended!
