We can’t say enough good things about Collesassi!  Stay here!!!  Stay a long time!  We stayed 5 days and did not want to leave. It was Tuscan heaven. One of the quietest, most peaceful places I have ever stayed.  I loved waking up to the sun rising through the bedroom window, sitting outside to eat the lovely basket of goodies our host, Mara, prepared everyday, watching the sunset over the vineyards. Paradise!   
Mara is an amazing host - she is so warm and welcoming, happy to accommodate our requests and she is a fabulous cook!  Make sure you have dinner there at least once. She prepares traditional Tuscan meals that are absolutely divine - all homemade.  Her mother made the best pecorino cheese I had on the trip!  
It’s a fabulous base for exploring Montalcino, Multipulciano, Pienza, Siena and more.  After a day of touring, it’s the perfect place to come back to, sit with a glass of local wine and watch the sun go down. 
Book this place and make sure you stay as long as possible!  It’s wonderful!  I will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know.

Agriturismo Collesassi is a quiet farmhouse, and a great place to chill out. We were lucky to be the only guests on Monday night, and we thoroughly enjoyed the silence, picturesque sunset and a great dinner served by Mara who manages this property. The room we booked was actually a separate apartment with quiet bedroom, large bathroom and a separate dining area with kitchenette. The breakfast was kept ready for us the day before – some biscuits, milk, butter and home-made jams. However, Mara was kind enough to bring some fruits, eggs, and fresh bread as well. A plenty of parking is available, and it takes around 15-20 minutes to reach Montalcino from Agriturismo Collesassi by car.

Calm and friendly Agriturismo, wonderful views

The agriturismo is on the top of a hill with panoramic views of surrounding hills, fields, olive groves, cypresses, etc.  You can see Montalcino on another hill, but it takes about 20 min to get there by car.
The rooms are comfortable and clean.  The dinner is excellent, with local wine.
The owners a very nice and accommodating.
Excellent place to stay while exploring Montalcino and its surroundings.

Peace and tranquillity

Not the easiest place to find, but when you find it, what a view. We only stayed here one night, just passing through. But what a view. Very nice agriturismo, with a very kind and helpful owner, whom speaks good English. She also was very helpful in giving some touristic advice. A pity we could only stay there one night.

View with a capital V

The agriturismo is near Montalcino, up a steep 800m road and that should tell you the view is spectacular!  We arrived at 2pm and asked if there was somewhere local for lunch. The host, Mara, said the restaurants would be closing soon but if we agreed she would put together a simple lunch for us. She arrived with a basket of their home grown tomatoes and cucumbers, home made bread, their own pecorino cheese (half a wheel!) and their own delicious red wine. We ate in the beautifully kept garden then relaxed with our books in comfortable chairs in the dappled shade of the trees for the next couple of hours. 
Breakfast next day was all organised in the kitchen of our 3 bed apartment with the addition of freshly baked muffins. 
It's a wonderful place and with hosts who can't be more helpful I fully recommend this lovely agriturismo.
