Villa Mazzi is paradise! From the most amazing view of Montepulciano, to the warmth and generosity of the hostess Loredana and her daughter Martina, it is a slice of heaven. The rooms are sparkling clean and appointed with everything you could need. And if you need recommendations for almost anything in the area, Loredana will help make your stay The BEST!

The BEST!

Villa Massi es un lugar simplemente estupendo. For over 10 years my partner and I visited Villa Massi at least twice a year. Always incredibly clean, organized, tranquil, and that unique view of Montepulciano! Loredana, the owner will make you feel at home as soon as you step in the place, chic lady, chic place. Wonderful location for wine, thermal baths and art explorers. Highly, highly recommended.

Villa Massi: A unique place in Tuscany!!

We booked the Loggia apartment which offers two bedrooms/two baths. There is large living room and dining area and the kitchen is well stocked with a full refrigerator, stove and oven as well as cooking pots/pans , utensils and plates. There is also a nice little porch that looks out over the Tuscan countryside and up to the walled town of Montepulciano.  The property  includes an olive grove and fruit trees. The owner is a lovely and gracious hostess. You can buy Olive oil from their harvest and some jellies made from the fruit trees on the property.  With their help we shipped our purchase home.  Given the beauty of the location we decided to go to the grocery store and buy the food for our stay. This allowed us to have a nice long happy hour on our porch and watch the lights come up on the town of Montepulciano.  We cooked lovely simple dinners and breakfasts during our visit and enjoyed the beauty of the location. There are lounge chairs and an outdoor table for all the guests to share and enjoy.  The bonus was that for a few euros we were able to get our laundry done which was perfect because this was mid-trip and we were traveling with only carry on.  The location is perfect for doing day trips into the Tuscan countryside.    We stayed for three nights but I wish it was longer. 

A must stay in the Tuscan countryside 

Villa Mazzi was everything we had hoped for outside Montepulciano. We rented La Loggia and it had loads of space for the 2 of us and would be very comfortable for 2 couples or a family of 5 or 6. The ownerLoridana could not be more helpful and accommodating. As we were visiting in August we asked her to make reservations for dinner at 3 or 4 restaurants before we arrived. She did that willingly and it worked out great, The villa and grounds are kept in perfect shape and it was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Amazing views of Montepulciano and perfectly located on the road to Pienza to avoid the craziness that is Montepulciano in August. Will definitely return here next time we come to Montepulciano.

We stayed for a week at Villa Mazzi and absolutely loved everything about it. The view of Montepulciano is simply stunning - from the garden, inside our apartment and on on balcony. It was often hard to leave it to go do some touring. And Loredana is the BEST host we have ever had. She made terrific suggestions of places to visit and to eat. If you are ever in this area, this is the ONLY place you should consider staying!

Absolutely no better place!!

In the last twelve years we have been at this place a cuple of times.
We shouldn't come back if we weren't satistisfied. The hospitilaty of the owner gives you a good stay during your exploring of the south of Tuscany.
4 apartments in an old farmhouse .
Furnished in a very nice style.
Wine , olive oil , homemade sweet and spicy jams.
Close to Montepulciano and Pienza.
It is a good place to stay.

Close to paradis

We stayed in the one-bedroom Il Pino apartment for five days at the end of September.  The apartment was immaculately clean, comfortable, charming, and had everything we needed.  The setting and view are unbelievably beautiful as shown in the photos.  

Lorendana and her daughter were perfect hostesses.  The olive oil, wine, cheese and other products they sold in the office were fabulous.  We used the apartment as a hub to visit not only Montepulciano, but also Pienza, Montalcino, Orvieto, and Assisi.  We should have stayed much longer.  Lorendana told us about L'Angolo Dei Sapori, a restaurant and caldo tavola on the way into Montepulciano that had excellent take out food at great prices.  Every day, we drove to a different town, saw the sites, and had a big lunch.  We would then return to the apartment and have dinner at the apartment, eating the take out and the products from the farm and what we bought in the towns.  The olive oil from the farm was some of the best I have ever had: bright, flavorful and with no bitterness.  The pecorino cheese with the salt-less Tuscan bread and the olive oil sprinkled with course salt was a perfect dish with the local Tuscan wine. It was even better sitting outside at the communal table overlooking Montepulciano.at sunset.

A Perfect Stay in a Perfect Location

I am a bit delayed in writing this review, as we visited Villa Mazzi in September of this year (2018). We were a family of 4 and stayed in the 3 bdrm/2 bath La Loggia apartment. Just perfect. You could even have 6 people and be very comfortable. We were welcomed warmly by Loredana and her daughter, Martina. They make their own jams, honey and wine, and we enjoyed all of that as well. They work SO hard with just the two of them keeping the guests happy at their agriturismo.  Everything was very clean and nice. Beautiful view over the valley of the hill town of Montepulciano. You do need a car here, as there is no local bus, and it probably 2 miles or so to Montepulciano. We drove in just 15 minutes to Pienza, which was just down the road. Very convenient, quiet, perfect location. Do not hesitate booking one of the 4 apartments at Villa Mazzi.  

WONDERFUL PLACE WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF MONTEPULCIANO

What does it make that people from all over the world come back to the same place again and again?
Is ist the place itself , The unbelievable landscape of South Tuscany . The homemade wine. Or last but not least the kindness and hospitality of the owners. Loredana and her daughter Martina do and give everything that your stay will be so perfect that you think allready about to come back if you are still there.
The cleanless and furniture as well as the equipment iin the rooms is perfect.
The four appartments are built into an old tuscany farmhouse. It is a very private Place for you and your company.
In order that you only have four appatments the loudest noice you will hear is the start of car or the voice of some other guests taking a glass of wine outside.
And the bells from the sheeps if they passed by for dinner.
The view at Montepulciano is breathtaking.
So I can offer to enjoy your stay and start thinking  to come back as soon as possible.

Do it to me one more time

If you are looking for an incredible place overlooking Montepulciano with an incredible host and friendly dog look no further.  No need to stress finding the right place to stay, this is it.  We needed a reservation in town that required a phone call in Italian and our host not only took care of it, but reminded me of it upon arrival.  We will be back.
