Wonderful location and great hospitality

We spent our last few days in Monterosso and having La Serra sul Mare as our base was perfect.  The view is spectacular, the room and terrace were comfortable, the help and professionalism of the staff was exceptional, and the daily breakfasts were creative, tasty., and creative.  It was the perfect way to end our holiday.

Terrific place, attentive hosts, and a view to die for.

This B&B, with only 4 rooms, is small and quaint, although the rooms are generously sized. Located up the hill from town, the views are spectacular! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of prosecco and some sandwiches, which hit the spot after driving all morning. Regular check-in hours are limited, so be sure to pay attention to them, and alert the office if you are checking in outside that time frame because registration desk is not manned 24-7. There is parking in front. We walked into town (15 minutes), but took the free shuttle back up the hill in the evening. It runs fairly often, and we did not find the schedule inconvenient. The breakfasts are amazing! The food just kept coming and coming! All home-cooked and delicious. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we return to the area.

Lovely Views

I do not have sufficient superlatives to describe this property but if you are visiting Cinque Terre this is the place to stay.  It is small and about a km out of the town of Monterosso but this makes it serene and peaceful, and they provide a free shuttle to and from the town.  Our room had a patio overlooking the ocean and they serve a delicious home made breakfast each morning.  A special thank you to Francesca who gave us invaluable information about hikes and places to visit.

Unbelievably beautiful 

We spent two nights here and would have loved to give it 4 stars, but our check in was unpleasant.  We did not understand that there is no one on the premises at night and misjudged our arrival time by an hour.  It wasn't hard to figure out that the manager was not happy.  She did her best to get us in the rooms, gave us a welcoming Proseco and blueberry tart and then left without leaving a contact number.
That is really the only negative of our stay.  The rooms are old country quaint (like your grandmother's spare room) and very clean.  The view is amazing.  The breakfast the second day (we left for a hike the first morning before service time) was outstanding and the staff then was especially cordial.
It is a hike down to town, but there is a free cab every half hour.
I recommend the hotel, but make sure you arrive on time!

Outstanding view of the Mediterranean

We stayed here for two nights in September 2019.  We arrived very late to a missed connection and delayed flight.  Claudius arranged transportation from the train station and welcomed us.

Breakfasts were spectacular.  They were made to order and served on the deck by Francesca and Sabrina.

The room was well equipped, clean, comfortable and spacious.  We loved sitting on the deck sipping the local wine available in the room.

We used the free shuttle to/from the town and train station.  

In short we were delighted with this special gem and would definitely return.

Simply Wonderful

We stayed here for 3 nights in early September. It is a B&B rather than hotel and has only a few rooms. It is located up a very steep hill and is just outside the village itself. We are reasonably fit and I thought we would walk home sometimes but it would be a difficult walk so we relied on the shuttle service. You just have to work to their times which is a little inconvenient. Despite that I would stay again. The rooms were very nice and spacious. I think they all had a terrace or balcony. The breakfast was excellent with different home cooked local specialities on each day and way more than you could eat although we kept trying as it was so good. One thing they could use is rails to dry your towel in the bathroom. 


Charming B&B just outside Monterosso 

This beautiful place only has a few rooms. Lovely breakfast served on the patio each morning - different menu each day- so filling you don’t need to buy lunch. Rooms were spotless, staff courteous and the complimentary shuttle was very handy as a way to get back from town. To get to town we chose not to use the shuttle as it was a fast ten minute walk downhill.

Cute Boutique Accommodation 

We loved staying here.   This property is up high on a hill with great views away from the main town of Monterosso but they have arranged excellent shuttles back and forth with convenient and well communicated times.

Ask for a room with a patio, we had one but it was inside with no view, would have preferred the upstairs room on the west side.

Great service and kind owners with  helpful tips and set us up nicely with a private boat tour, excellent.

Breakfast were amazing, over the top, fresh and plentiful.
