Wonderful experience one year ago April 2023, and thought it was worth writing a review. The owner Nicoletta was lovely and provided a beautiful environment Nicoletta made arrangements to meet us at the train station with her flower-adorned bicycle to guide us through the side streets to her property, lunch at her daughters cafe was arranged which was light and friendly. The B&B was in town, delicious breakfast on the patio, great atmosphere to start the day. Nicoletta was a fantastic hostess. comfortable rooms.

Great Memories of April 2023

Terrific experience in small b&b.  The owner / proprietress is Nicoletta.  Once we were booked she contacted us and made arrangements to meet us at the train station with her flower-adorned bicycle to guide us through the side streets to her property.  My comments mirror those of others: quiet, accessible to town, delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms.  Nicoletta said she was born in the room we stayed in over 60 years ago (decor has been updated).

Delightful B&B and delightful proprietress

What a fabulous couple of nights staying at this delightful property. Nicoletta is certainly a natural host, meeting us at the station on her flower adorned bicycle and recommending some gorgeous restaurants to eat at. 
The breakfasts at La Poesia were delicious and varied each day. I'm coeliac, but Nicoletta went out of v way to accommodate me. 
Thoroughly recommend staying here.

An absolute delight!

Beautiful small B&B in Monterosso. A few blocks from all the activities but a world away on a quiet street . Beautiful rooms, very private , safe, clean and pretty accommodations. 
Breakfast on a flowering terrace was abundant and delicious. The best part of the stay is the lovely Nicoletta who met us at the train station to accompany us back to the hotel , and who personally oversees this 4 room small hotel .
We usually don’t stay at such a small place but are so very glad we did. Do not hesitate . We are friendly but particularly attentive to cleanliness and helpfulness as well as privacy . This is a gem .

Charming stay in a Seaside town

(I traveled with my sister. Why no option for just Family, TA?)
Well, Nicoletta more than lived up to her reputation. She met us at the station as promised and even helped my sister with her bag. She’s warm and welcoming, helpful in every way. 
The room was a good size and charming, the bed comfortable.
The breakfast is served in the beautiful inner courtyard (see pic), with all the choices you could wish for: not just fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, and cereal, but even various types of omelets! Excellent coffee. 
The place is just a few minutes walk from the center but removed enough that you don’t hear the trains or the crowds. Complete quiet, day and night. 
Just book this already!

I couldn’t have wished for more

Loved the location and charm of La Poesia. That said, as other reviewers have noted, Nicoletta is what makes the stay. We could not have asked for a better hostess. She met us at the train station, provided recommendations on activities and restaurants, assisted with reservations, and just generally runs a warm and welcoming establishment. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start every day. I highly recommend La Poesia and will stay there if I have the chance to return to Cinque Terre (and I hope I do).

The answer is yes. Ideal location but Nicoletta is what makes this place. Very caring and accommodating - even made a call and got us reservations at Miky’s!  I will forever be missing her breakfast on the patio with cream filled croissants to die for.

Hoping to return !

If you’re looking for a small, quiet place to stay, yet close to the action, look no further.  Nicoletta is an amazing hostess. On a fairly quiet street but an easy walk to the water, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast is made to order and served to you -no buffet- on a beautiful terrace. Fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, cereal. Check-in is before 1PM and Nicoletta met us at the train station so we could follow her to La Poesia.

Loved this place and the staff

I just had to re-iterate all the great reviews on La Poesia and Nicoletta, the most wonderful hostess. The trip to Cinque Terre and Monterosso was definitely the highlight of our trip. She met us at the train station with her flowered covered bike and immediately treated us like long lost relatives. It was nice to be escorted back to the B&B, and she welcomed us and some other guests with a bottle of Prosecco and biscotti and pastries on the beautiful terrace. It is perfectly situated close to the main town but also tucked away on a nice quiet street. The room was extremely clean and decorated lovely and while ours was not large it had all the amenities including wine glasses and towels for the beach, with everything in perfect working order and good sized bathroom.

Nicoletta was an absolutely delightful hostess and she helped arrange reservations at the restaurants. But without a doubt the highlight of the stay were the breakfasts on the terrace surrounded by lemon trees. It was by far the best breakfast we had on our trip. Everything you could ask for - pastries, prosciutto, fruit and the best cappuccino we had. And after all that comes out the most delicious omelettes. What a memorable stay that we will never forget!

An Absolute Delight

This was our second stay with Nicoletta at La Poesia.  We loved it five years ago, and our second visit did not disappoint!  Nicoletta is so welcoming (met us at the station with her flowery bicycle) and always goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. The rooms are lovely, and breakfast on the patio gets every day off to a great start. We shopped for our own appertivo goodies, and Nicoletta made sure we had everything necessary to enjoy a quiet evening on the patio. A pleasant break from the crowds in Monterosso. Her restaurant recommendations are always great, and everyone in town knows Nicoletta!
