249 reviewsWith a spacious room and ample, delicious breakfast, we very much enjoyed this retreat every day after scurrying about Naples absorbing the cultural attractions of the city. Hearing the choral music in one of the halls as soon as entered the casa reminded us of the ambiance of a monastery, which, in fact, it is. It was a short walk to the opera house, to the harbor boats to Capri and other islands. Also, being located on the central funicular line, it compelled and enabled us to go to top of one of the most prominent hills in Naples to explore other neighborhoods. Via Toledo is at the bottom-most station of the funiculare. Service was fine and timely. An extra bonus is that it is not just a casa but an ongoing monastery with priests that we did not have to see for any confessions. The scenery from the garden, where some people had breakfast was outstanding, being able to see Capri, Sorrento, and to be sure other parts of the city in all directions.
