As I was planning my week in Napoli, one of the first things i did was to seek accommodations. As I was traveling solo, I wasn't looking for fancy or lavish, but clean and comfortable. Franca and Enrico's place came recommended, so I checked it out. I found no recent reviews here (I would learn that this was because they shut-down during Covid, and were hesitant to reopen for fear of infection). They have two B&B units in their lovely and spotlessly-clean apartment. I stayed in the simpler, and less-costly of the two--it had two twin beds which could be placed together for a couple, or left separate. Plenty of closet space, and private bath that was just outside the room door. I had meant to peek at the other unit--I believe it's a suite, with en-suite bathroom and exquisite view of Napoli Bay and the Isle of Capri--same view as the salon (see below). The apartment is on the 7th floor of an elevator building, located on a quiet side lane--so virtually no traffic noise. Franca keeps it spotlessly-clean and neat. Enrico prepares a simple continental-style breakfast--baguette with butter and Franca's home-made jam, juice, coffee or tea, yoghurt, etc. It was enough to get me going in the morning. Sometimes, Enrico would join me and we chatted over breakfast. Their English is better than my Italian, to be sure. They are kind and courteous hosts. It's convenient to a city bus line, the Cumana (commuter rail station), and a couple of metro stations. Taxi ride from/to Naples Airport can be arranged with a trusted driver; cost was Eu27.50. The only disadvantages I can think of are logistical--they're a bit removed from the areas of touristic interest, and they're at the top of a steep access lane.
