Best fam restaurant

We had the perfect stay, dinner, breakfast and would be thrilled to return as soon as possible. The dinner was perfectly prepared, breakfast was the best we had during our 18 days in Italy. They perfectly understood my celiac & type 1 diabetic diet limitations and created delicious meals for each time. Charming, comfortable and friendly.

We just stayed here for our 3rd time. We LOVE this place!  The moment we showed up dragging our suitcases, they greeted us with hugs and a bottle of ice cold Barberani wine and bruschetta with tomatoes. This is the most generous, caring family you will ever meet. They bend over backwards to accommodate all your needs. The rooms are spotless and have air conditioning.  The beds are comfortable and the showers are big enough for my 6'4" spouse (not always the case in our travels through Italy).  Breakfast is included and fantastic. They will make you an omelette to go along with the wonderful pastries and fresh fruit from their garden. Their restaurant menu is extensive and prepared to perfection. We really feel like we are coming home when we stay here and we are looking forward to staying here again!

Lovely quiet and clean. The breakfast was charming with individually wrapped plates of pastries straight from the bakery. Charming service and a lovely welcome from the family who seem genuinely pleased to see you

Family run, authentic Italian, in a new restaurant facility (they had a fire and rebuilt the place, very nice and clean). Excellent cooking, very good service, friendly and inviting. A delicious dining experience.

They make good wine at their restaurant

We stayed 3 weeks to make paintings of picturesque Orvieto.  We were treated like family at La Palma by our host "mom and dad".  We ate every breakfast and dinner at La Palma and nearly every lunch with daughters, Elena and Maria, at the newly opened Enoteca (wine shop) a short stroll away.  Lunches were refreshing salads and where we purchased wine to share later on our private balcony at La Palma.  There was no reason to go anywhere else for a meal.

We were given discounts on everything--meals, Barberani wine (the only name you need to know for wine in Orvieto).  Cesarina insisted on washing our clothes twice a week. Breakfasts were special--made to order omelets, caprese salad, yogurts, fruit juices, various coffees, and always a gift-wrapped variety of pastries--you can't eat it all.  Sometimes we just skipped lunch.  We were asked when we wanted breakfast--not told.  We usually took dinner about 8PM.

Host dad and mom did not speak english but the daughters were there most mornings and evenings to translate and often translation was just not necessary. We were treated for a day at the Barberani vineyard and winery.  We were sent off with a 2-pizza lunch.  

We spent an evening with the whole family at the pizza and wine festival. One morning we were taken to our host dad's family home, vineyard, garden, ceramics studio, and multi-level wine cellar.  We had both new wine and 30-year-old dessert wine.  We have a bottle of the 1986 dessert wine settling at home.

We feel like we have an Italian family.
