I don't write many reviews but this hidden gem deserves one. We stumbled upon the place while skiing and we absolutely loved it. The food is excellent and the staff is simply amazing. The owner is a true gentleman which has made our lunches a great experience. To be repeated asap. Highly recommend! 

Tonale's best ski restaurant...by far:)

Dear friends, after several attempts (the place is certainly not small but very demanded so it requires a reservation with a certain amount of time in advance) we managed to try this place too. To get there we have to make a minimum walk (a few minutes) and on our return we also had the pleasure that they accompanied us (1 minute) with their snow cat in which they closed the fun way a pleasant evening. I would say all right: the food (good quality), the price (in two we spent 73 euros with two first, two seconds, wine and coffee) and the staff (very kind and friendly).

Try it!

My family and I stayed at Il Faita for a long weekend. The room was spacious, comfortable and with characteristic alpine style. The structure and room are very clean and tidy, bathroom with all the amenities. The half-board in the cabin restaurant is the perfect solution to taste the dishes of the area. We really enjoyed it! We will know where to return for our stays in Passo del Tonale. Thank you all!

A paradise on the tracks!

Super-ordered and clean rooms, we enjoyed a dinner with high-quality raw materials, beautifully crafted by the chef, all the friendly staff and available at any request.

Eighth SCOPERT

A new, attentive and friendly management, we were welcomed at all hours of the day. Giovanni and Roberto welcomed us with their warmth and care. Great dinner, we will definitely be back! We have toured the rooms and look forward to trying them!

In addition to the beautiful and quiet location, the interior of the facility is beautiful and very clean in every corner, and even though there were no cooks present during my stay with a friend, the staff worked very well to satisfy our hunger with special dishes.

What a paradise!

We had dinner at this historic restaurant, recently taken over by young boys, and we found a very nice staff and fantastic food, to taste the deer-cheese and deer-cheese ribs, a real treat. We'll be back!

Very nice staff and great dishes.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It's a well-restored cabin in the middle of the slopes. The rooms are made of wood and stone with large beams of view. The windows are original so small and with delicious curtains. Perhaps the only drawback is the low lighting. The breakfast is good and subscribery, the half-pension dinner is great. Then there is always a boiler and te/tisane available to guests. The terrace with the open tables until March is wonderful and allows you to enjoy the sun at the last moment with good background music. Wonderful, attentive and kind staff.

Cockroaches with kindness

After a long time I didn't come back I couldn't wait to go back, I came back for lunch today. A totally refurbished atmosphere, beautiful but I think it's lost the charm of the shelter I remembered. The food: scandalous. We took the capriol sauce noodles. Cuts overwhelmed and white, like dog pasta! I suck on the taste of capriol like ray sauce that you eat in kindergarten. With the difference that it turned out to be indigestible. Sweet: strudel with mascarpone. Complete disappointment.

Lunch

Il Faita, while predominantly a mountain restaurant, is a wonderful place to stay. We booked a quadruple room which proved perfect for us. It had two single beds upstairs and a double bed downstairs. The chalet is spotlessly clean and very well run - Luca and his team have pride in their establishment.  

I always fancied staying on the mountain. It is only just on the mountain though, a mere 150m from the car park (which is also the glacier gondola car park). Breakfast was good and the food at lunch and dinner excellent.

Passo Tonale is 1.5 km away, so you need to have a car. One of the attractions of this resort is its proximity to Madonna di Campiglio ski area (an easy 30 mins). However, the link is via Marilleva 900 and (during half-term at least) the queue at the only lift to the main ski area was horrendous (30 minutes plus). 

Passo itself has limited slopes but has some advantages. Four red runds, two at eash end of the Passo ski area are excellent (especially run 20). The Presena glacier across the road is a big plus. Plus, there is night skiing on Tuesdays and Thursdays (though only on a 1km run). 

Passo is a very good value resort. It is ideal for beginners and families. It is snow-sure. There are some terrific mountain restaurants; a couple on the Passo side and one on the Ponte di Legno side are particularly good.
