Went skiing with friends 
Savoia is a family run hotel opposite the slopes.
It was clean and comfortable, very convenient, great views and very friendly and helpful staff ( especially Max the manager ).
The chef is good and although there is not much to offer vegetarians on the menu they are very happy to make something to suit 
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be back.
The only areas of improvement would be access to a sauna and  a wider range of options at breakfast

Excellent hotel that is steeped in bitty and run by a wonderful friendly family. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and warm. Heated boot and ski storage is provided at the front of the hotel and it’s only a two minute walk to the slopes. 
Breakfast is usually ham, cheese, bread, hard boiled eggs and an assortment of fruit and cereal. Fruit juice and coffee are also available. Dinner is a buffet salad bar followed by a starter, main and dessert. Usually a pasta starter and always enough to satisfy. 
You can either pay as you go at the bar or just add it to your room bill and settle up the evening before you leave. 
All in all a beautiful hotel, perfect position and reasonable prices at the bar. (€4.50 for a large beer). 🍻

Excellent hotel and owners.

A basic hotel but perfectly clean. Very close to the ski lifts (across the road). The staff were always friendly and helpful. Food was once again basic but plentiful and they willing accommodated my vegetarianism. Perfect for a no frills holiday.

Good, value for money accommodation.

Excellent hotel directly opposite the pistes . Staff very friendly and helpful even though their English was limited - no complaints there as we do not speak any Italian. Food was lovely and plentiful. Cosy bar area to get an after dinner drink or relax in the large comfy, warm lounge. Everywhere beautifully clean. All bedrooms en suite and different size of rooms available to suit the size of your party. Ours was large with plenty of room for the three of us. Ski room by the front door with heated boot rack. There is also a separate bar and pizzeria in front of the hotel, handy for an apres ski drink.

excellent Hotel

What we wanted from a ski hotel was provided here. It was immaculately clean and the food was exceptional, especially the New Year’s gala meal.
The staff were all friendly and efficient in this family run hotel.
It is a little tired, but made up for by the above.

Highly recommend for the price.

I stayed here with my teenage son for a week skiing holiday over Easter. Booked the holiday through Crystal as a package and chose the Savoia as it was a great price for half board and hotel was so close to the slopes (I won’t stay anywhere with a long walk to the slopes 🙈)  the hotel is only a 2 minute max walk to the slopes. Around the hotel there’s lots of photos of the hotels past which were very interesting and it looks no different now on the outside to when it was built in 1886 (I think!) 
We received a very warm welcome on arrival from the lovely family that run the hotel. They were happy that I was aware of the tourist tax that has to be paid as a lot of guests aren’t aware and then not happy.
Our room was on the first floor facing the front and wow what a view! Absolutely stunning views of the mountains. I’ll upload a picture of the view from my bed. We stopped closing the shutters in the end as the view was so lovely to wake up to. 
The rooms…the decor is dated however everything was in great condition and functionable, our room was more than big enough with plenty of storage and hooks to hang our jackets and salopettes up. The beds were extremely comfortable and I slept very well which is unusual for me in a strange bed. The shower room was again dated but everything worked fine and you could have a good shower. The hot water took a while to come through but not a problem.
Breakfast was a cold buffet with enough choice and the drinks from the machine were very good. My son loved the hot chocolate and the coffee was also good. 
You chose your 2 courses for dinner the night before and there’s a cold vegetable buffet for your first course. This is traditional Italian style. My son is very fussy and not once at either breakfast or dinner did he go hungry. The pasta course was always very good and filling and the lasagne was lovely! This is then followed by a meat course then a choice of desert, my son wanted vanilla ice cream every night which wasn’t a problem at all. The views from the restaurant which faces the front with floor to ceiling windows were again stunning.
I would not hesitate to go back to the Savoia we had the best week skiing (perfect conditions) and at a great hotel.

Fantastic week

So many great things about this hotel. It's so so near to the main ski lifts and ski school meeting points so no long walks with all your gear. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were warm and spacious with plenty of hot water. And the food - wow, real family Italian menu, large portions of delicious foods with a variety every night.

A super family hotel - highly recommended

I have recently (15th-21st Feb.) stayed at hotel Savoia with my colleagues and 31 of my students.
When it comes to my students I am incredibly picky, and I can seriously say that there was nothing the Hotel and its staff could have done better.

From the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner all of great quality and variety) to the waiters (truly nice, always smiling and happy to help...and god knows how many requests we had with such a large party), everything was run to perfection by Davide, the owner, his parents, and Massimiliano (concierge and priceless  member of the staff).

About the hotel: before arrival I checked the reviews online, as we all do nowadays. Some bad feedback left me quite perplexed and anxious...i must confess that i now, quite frankly, do not understand how some people could find flaws in it, let alone comments about rude staff.

Hotel Savoia is a true gem. Built in the 20s, it keeps all the style of those days. Yes, it is dated in some elements, but it is absolutely functional and the staff will strive to solve any problem. If you love the mountains (and not swimpools...), you will love Hotel Savoia...even if you might have to let the tap run a minute for hot water...that is the price you pay for a gorgeous historic chalet at 1.800m on the Alps.

It is right in front of the slopes, with a magnificent view from every single room (I should know as I saw about 20 of them). It is a hotel for people who love mountains and skiing.

If you like a traditional, family friendly, fun and functional place, this is your hotel! Quality-price wise I do not think you will find anything better in passo tonale, and this is my third year here.

Furthermore they recently opened,in front of the hotel, a lovely ice-skating ring and a pizzeria next to it...you must try Omar's pizza...definitely the best in Passo Tonale.

A true traditional family business

We have stayed in several hotels in Tonale but this is the one that we stayed in first and the one we always wish we were back in. Hence we have stayed in it at least five times and it never disappoints. The hotel is spacious very well and professionally run. The family and their employees are all delightful and very welcoming. It is genuinely good not all show and no substance as so many others. The food is good and better than other hotels of this category in the resort. They always provide something to suite all tastes, very well cooked and presented.
Bedrooms are spacious enough for all the clobber we bring skiing with us and the boot/ski room is also one of the best with space and heaters that are switched on and warm.
Close to the piste and lift system it is very well located.

This is the best hotel in Passo Tonale

We were a family group ranging from 70 to 1, and we all loved the hotel . Delicious and varied food at breakfast and dinner, including unsolicited delicious spaghetti for a 9 year old who didn’t like what she had chosen. Julia, our waitress endlessly helpful and patient. All the staff were very helpful and child-friendly. Great location a minute from the slopes. Very clean and comfortable. Many thanks for a most enjoyable stay.
