We only had 1 night but the total experience was absolutely amazing. The small hotel is beautifully renovated, Beatiful rooms; all rooms are beautifully decorated with a nice rustic tone. Beautiful and totally serviceminded

We ate and slept at the Relais il Borgo and had an exceptional stay.
The dinner was fantastic. The quality of the food and the wine gorgous and the hospitality of the staff was outstanding!
Thank you very much for having us and keep on going beeing such delightfull hosts.

Fantastic evening

I spent a night here joining my mother, who was on a guided tour with about 12 other people through Italy. I booked the next night at the other hotel across the road, because it had a fancy spa, but wished I had stayed the whole time at Relais Il Borgo (turns out I wasn't even able to use the spa next door, and while it was modern it didn't have the charm or great food). Il Borgo is family run, and they were so kind and accommodating. Our dinners there were amazing, and they even gave us a really entertaining cooking lesson.

Wonderful charming place

I am usually visiting Carla once a year in October. The rooms are well equipped and nicely dressed up. In the restaurant you get served only authentic piemontese cucina. I can only recommend this location for relaxing days.

Very authentic piemontese cucina

Stayed at Relais Il Borgo with my Wife and both Kids (17 & 15) for 4 Nights in the 1st Week of October 2016.  We arrived pretty late and "La Signora" (The Owner Lady) waited for us and cooked us a beautiful home cooked fresh Italian Dinner.  We had a lovely Bottle of Local Red Wine.  Our Rooms were pretty spacious and connected to eachother vie a short private terrace/corridor outside. 
Breakfast every morning was a delight. From the freshly squeezed Orange Juice to the Home Made Cake & Bread. The Coffee Machine made us a great Espresso & Cappuccino every morning. 
we loved the Location of Il Borgo. Compared to other properties nearby, Il Borgo is very very quiet. They do not have conferences there, which makes everything much quieter. 
Free WiFi is great and works everywhere, it really does!.

Piemont, Our New Tuscany

We were on a group tour and were pre-warned that our stay at the il Borgo would be different from what we were used to, and he was right.  The establishment is beautifully laid out like a little village with each unique room appearing in unusual places, around a corner or up the stairs down a corridor.  Our unit was clean and comfortable with a two single bed loft we did not use.  Our bathroom was large but it had a tub and only a wand on a metal hose, no shower and no enclosure.  It was very uncomfortable for us to bathe sitting down and to get out of the deep tub.  The pool area is scenic but needs a little landscape trimming.  We were happy with the healthy breakfast options.  Dinner was an extra charge but was fantastic all three evenings.  

Quiet and Nice

I paid 140 EUR for 1 night-stay (two adults and a kid) in a room with a double size bed and a mattress laying on the mezzanine floor!! Breakfast was included, but nothing special. For the price paid, I would have expected better service, compared to what I could get in the area.

Too expensive for the service offered

I only had dinner there, I am staying up the hill at another hotel and wanted to try both restaurants during my stay. Before the bill came I would have highly recommended the restaurant and been happy to return. But I feel cheated. I ordered gnocchi with truffles and a steak with red wine and the bill was 110 euros. I said I live in Turin and I speak some Italian, I chatted with the nonna and when she made the bill she apologized the truffles were so expensive. So it wasn't that she thinks I'm Swiss and don't know how much normal local prices are. I had lunch at another place the same day, truffles on both the starter and main for an additional 14 euros total. She charged me 40 euros for truffles for the 1 course! It is listed at a degustation menu but there are nicer restaurants in Turin with menus for 35-40 euros. I had an amazing 3 course dinner plus in Paris next to the Louvre for 60 euros- it's shocking this little place thinks it should charge this much.  It's a pity because the food was excellent but it was not a 110 euro meal.  I also would have appreciated when I ordered red wine if they'd told me they only sell by the bottle.

I saw some people below say they are greedy and I'm afraid this was my experience too. I can't comment on the hotel but from what I saw of the decor, although possibly more expensive, the Relais Sant'Uffizio looks a better value.
