Abruzzo is all this and more. You get lost , you take a right instead of left and you end up in the most gorgeous places. You walk down the cobbled paths of old towns hugging the rock face and stumble into a tiny kitchen were the food is so good you don’t want to leave. Then you get tired and make your way to the tenuta. The twinkling lights guide you through the pristine  grounds an d lead you up to the pool .As you sink into the sofa with a cool glass of the tenuta’s  passerina and look up to the starlight sky, like me, you will never want to leave.



Italy’s wild side

Stayed on route from Rome to Pescara. Found the hotel by chance while looking at a possible travel route. What a fantastic hotel. Everything we encountered on our visit was first class. The welcome was amazing and the care and friendliness of the staff was 5 star. Our room overlooking the pool was spacious and clean.  We ate dinner on the two evenings we stayed and the food was delicious. If you like wine then this hotel and the family produce some of the best wine in the region and we did our best to sample them all - white, rose, red and desert! The family that run the hotel are so very welcoming. Breakfast was typical of cold meats, pastries and fruit. Plentiful actually. We ate lunch on one day and it was a tuna salad and empty plates.  The pool is a salt water version and is really lovely. I came out without the normal stinging eyes and really enjoyed using this particular facility. There were plenty of sun beds and umbrella's.  It was mid 30'sC on both days we stayed and too hot without them.  We look forward to returning to this very friendly and welcoming hotel. Note you need to be sure of the directions using sat-nav. The hotel gave us directions from the traffic lights just of the autostrada. We follwed them and hit the hotel first time. Our satnav could not find the hotel but just the town.

A place to relax and unwind

We stayed two nights at this beautiful Vila. Magnificent view, beautifully styled rooms and very comfortable. tasty food and wine, made specially for us. Great service and friendly hosts. We enjoyed every minuet and hope to visit again.

Very very beautifull

This is probably the hardest review to make of all the places that we stayed in and ate at during our 12 night southern Italy tour. From the motorway you drive steadily uphill for about 15 minutes until you arrive in Pescosansonesco, which is a rambling village of old and new and very little going on. A tight turn takes you down a long winding road onto an unmade up road which leads down into the Tenuta.
The views are breath-taking and the building is really stylish and the grounds and pool all very beautiful – it does look almost recently created from the original building. There are some areas of the facility where it looks like they might be intending to develop further, although that was not a problem. You can easily see their vineyards from an elevated pool/garden area. We dumped our cases and sat by the pool (towels available) whereupon some lovely ice cream was brought to us.
The staff compromised the lovely Luanna (not sure of spelling) who spoke some English which was very helpful, Irina (very sweet young women who did laugh at our attempts to speak Italian) and another waitress whose name I did not get. Another woman who seems to double as their chef and manager was quite a character – she spoke at us at such pace in full on Italian that we did not stand a chance – she would create all the meals that we ate and even joined us after she had cooked. We ate well and if you sit around for long enough drinks and food seem to come to you whether you’ve asked for it/them or not – the whole arrangement is a bit confusing. Dinner was tasty but perhaps not fine dining and on the 1st night we had so much to eat that when the 2nd sweet came out we nearly burst. Dinner prices seem to vary between 25 Euros – 35 Euros per head depending on what is served – we had veal and beef fillet, tomato and mozzarella, pasta, etc. etc.
To be honest I was a bit scared of this manager who was trying to be as welcoming as possible but it just didn’t work out that way – so I would recommend you speak some good Italian as we are sure it would help your stay greatly. Especially as we had a couple of abortive attempts at wine tasting – just a language barrier messed it up for us and poor communication. We were not sure if the man about the place was her husband or not, but he seemed to be a general handyman and was once or twice seen to consult with visiting builders, pour over paperwork and once argued with her – he was not very friendly or welcoming.
Our room was huge and on the 1st floor, quite a small bathroom considering the room size but lovely views of hills and mountains and pool area.
We did have lunch on our last day and we notified them beforehand of what we wanted – that seemed to work out ok. 
This is a quiet place with several other couples coming and going and we would guess that 2 or 3 nights would be your maximum. 
Overall an enjoyable stay and we did order several bottles of their wine which was very good. Arrangements for food and drinks ordering is all a bit confusing and things could have been so much better with a stronger grasp of the language which we are working on!

Last leg of our Italian Tour

I would like to higly recommend this B&B located in a very quiet part of Pesosansonesco, within beautiful vineyards and mountains. It is new, very well kept and organised structure. The rooms are spacious and furnished in a rustic style. There is a beautiful swimming pool and lots of vineyards to walk around. You can dine there, but as it mentioned in another comment there is no fixed menu u can ask whatever you would like to eat. Breakfast was diverse and you could order eggs or cappucino on request. I have ennjoyed our stay a lot as we could bring our dog with us which was a great thing. The village itself is a good spot to visit local area and explore real Abruzzo.
