This morning we went to the Lucatello farmhouse for the activity with the very sweet Alpacas. The very kind owners welcomed us together and then Mrs. Maura introduced us to the animals and took us for a walk with them inside the beautiful property. The lady told us about the Alpacas and other animals we met along the way. All the animals are very well taken care of. It was a very pleasant activity that I recommend not only to families with children like us but to anyone who loves animals and contact with nature.

Activities with alpacas

I have had the pleasure of visiting, even for a few hours, this healthy and natural environment to take my grandchildren for a walk with the Alpacas! We were welcomed by Mrs Maura, a very open and very kind person. Thanks to her explanations, you can hear that there is so much passion and love for nature... and she conveys it by teaching you a lot about the subject.

Contact with Nature

Our house was about 1 km away from the central farm but we knew it and the very kind and precise owner always said it. Apartment in perfect Tuscan style equipped with small kitchen refrigerator dishes, towels, clean and with sober furnishings perfectly suited to an agriturismo. All the rooms were clean with working materials. We were also at breakfast with organic products of their production, of high quality and especially fresh. Everything absolutely perfect, agriturismo to recommend for the love of the owners towards their work and for the beautiful structure.

A splendid Tuscan farm

If there was a chance to choose no score I would have done so. I stayed in August with my partner, my sister-in-law and her granddaughter. When we arrived we found out that we had the rooms 500 m away from the reception, a green and unusable pool. At the time of the presentation of the room, Mrs. Maura showed us the wall in front of the room. The room was full of wasps, threatening that we should not bother them. The room lacked everything, towels understood that the lady provided us with an unpleasant smell.

Horrible.

We were greeted by a lady cafona who recommended not to give her the panels as she did not intend to buy them back in addition to an endless series of things not to do.. on our return tonight we were greeted by a huge spider in the bed and by a Scorpio father and his son the justification provided always by the same lady was you could go to the hotel this is a bio agriturismo.. we escaped despite the payment of the entire stay was requested and made in advance recommended to those who want to pay a campsite at the price of an apartment!

Forget about it

The farmhouse is located in a very beautiful setting and offers the possibility of visiting different locations. We appreciated the natural setting and the organic approach very much, but there are some discrepancies with what they say on the site: -the apartments are 800m away (proof-of-step) not 500 as stated, and being an upscale street under the sun the 300m make a difference - the pool is different from the photos on the site (it looked better kept) and... ok the bio... but it was not inviting to look - the children's park... cute... sorry for the materials available on the rusty - some proposed social activities and on the site were actually planned, but maybe because of their needs - excess price for the service given: over 300 euros for three nights

To be improved

I came back to this farmhouse for the second time after I had found myself very well. Unfortunately when we arrived, after calling the lady a few days before and the very morning to ask that our booking was confirmed, we were told that the booking had been cancelled without informing us. This is certainly not the owner's fault, but she could not communicate it by phone instead of after having done almost 3 hours of driving??? Although she had 2 free rooms and we would have kindly asked her if she could leave it for at least one night instead of four, with a negative answer, the lady tried to contact all the facilities that were in the area to find us another accommodation, obviously without being able to see the high season, and after she left us well with 2 children, after 2 hours she gave us a safe answer... despite the fact that we could not check it out for more than 3 hours, but I'm sorry to have to check it out before we can return to the pool.

The tragic experience

Maura's farmhouse is a real farmhouse, a genuine and authentic place set in a beautiful landscape of serenity and peace. The silence and the coolness that you can enjoy are out of the ordinary. The structure is welcoming and clean. The food is healthy and of excellent quality. The reception of Maura, his family and his collaborators is exquisite and cordial.

A corner of serenity

If you're looking for a hotel-type stay, maybe 4 stars, with all the comforts, the Agriturismo Lucatello is not for you. But if you love, like me and my family (2 nights in 5 people in August 2020), the genuineness of a kind of hospitality that perhaps only in Tuscany can be found, then you are in the right place! We're in love with the place and the people: Maura, who with a twenty-year-old crush carries the agriturismo forward despite everything and everything; her husband Marcello, discreet and very kind presence, who presents with love his splendid dishes at km zero; Matilde Matatti, the daughter, who teaches from a hand and is precious in the itineraries that we can tell us about the family's relationship with the animals; Gioraggio, the son, who cared for you and served you afterwards; Francesco, who has been in the house for almost 10 minutes and whoever and everything else, we've tried to get back to the house, and especially my daughter, who can't find a place to live without a hand, and we'll

Hospitality, people, relationships.

We spent a week in a room furnished with furniture that smelled bad (we couldn't put a dress in the closet) besides an annoying smell of sewage floating in the bedroom. We don't talk about the noises from the room above our own. We had to have the same rhythms as those above otherwise impossible to sleep before or wake up after them. Even the towels left much to be desired although on our request there were better data.
