We had a great stay here. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept fantastically. The breakfast was very good, the "cornetto al pistacchio" was great. The owners were very nice and they even offered us a different room (no extra charge) when we discovered that - because of a misunderstanding while booking - one of the two double room had a shared bathroom with a second double room (called in the overall "camera arancio"). I'd definitely recommend it mainly if you want to sleep in an amazingly comfortable bed!

Amazing beds for a perfect sleep!

I totally recommend staying here.
I visited this place with two other female friends in August 2014.
Our room was the violet  one. it was very clean, with air conditioning and a big bathroom
When we got in after quite long trip we were positively suprised: the air conditioning was already on so the room was nicely cool and there were some bottles of cold water waiting for us in the fridge (the fridge was in the bathroom).
The proprietors are a very nice couple. They told us where to eat and where to go.
We wanted to go to scala dei turchi and the proprietor was so nice to bring us there with their car and also take us back in the afternoon. The breakfast was the best I ever had in sicily (and I, m not a big fan of the typical Mediterranean breakfast which normally contains only coffee and some sweets). You can find various local things to eat for breakfast not only sweet. All of them fresh, best quality and DELICIOUS! 
The only one negative is the location. But even though I totally recommend to stay here!

The nicest proprietors ever

Three star at best. Great location for beach but staff is very very bad.
All three persons that were at the front desk were annoyed every time we asked for information or advise. On the Sunday the hotel let locals with their kids use the pool it was so noisy that a guets had to interevene when the noise got out of control. the parents were not controlling their kids who screamed and yelled. The breakfast was very average and the coffee was terrible. The bar service by the pool was non existant eventhough there was a bar there and the lunch menu for the pool is conprised of three choices of pasta, no pizza or other fun lunch dishes to enjoy at lunch by the pool and we were not allowed to eat at the tables in the outdoor restaurant by the pool we were obliged to eat indoors. I asked three times for an extra pillow before i got one and I had to go get it myself at the reception desk. Thedre are no irons available even on demand and the hotle is situated about 300 yards from the water line of the ocean so do not get fooled by the photos as i did.

This B&B is nowhere near the seashore. Make sure you call when you are near otherwise you will never find it. Long walk to the center of town. Nice people and plentiful breakfast. Problem is that Porto Empedocle is not worth the overnight stay.

A deceitful name

It was difficult to find, up a steep hill and then the room was up 3 flights of stairs. The house smelt of fish. When we said that we didn't want to stay they said that we had to pay anyway and took the full amount for the two nights!

False advertising

If you want to experience staying in an Italian Council Estate then this is the place for you.  We thought we would be in a 4 star B & B, from the reviews, and found ourselves in an Estate.  Very difficult to find I worried about the car parked down the lane all night.  It said we were 600 mtrs from the beach we were 600 meters from a commercial port.  We had booked 2 nights and asked if we could cancel and the owner, who spoke no english supposedly, showed us his conditions of contract which said we had to pay the full amount.  We stayed one night and left the next day.  I feel this B & B is making a lot of money with people refusing to stay and having to forfeit the whole amount.  Good business to be in!!!
