We absolutely loved our stay at Nereidi in Positano! Columba was the hostess with the mostest she was so kind, welcoming and helpful. She made amazing breakfasts for our family of six each morning whenever we needed it. She also got us a shuttle to an amazing restaurant near the hotel. We highly recommend asking for a shuttle to La Tagliata and Il Ritrovo. The rooms amenities were amazing. Lots of steps to get down to the main Positano beach but that meant we were far away from the crowds. She had a handy little elevator cart for bags to carry them up and down the hill to the road where the taxi drops you off. Felt extremely safe and in good hands with Columba. The walk down was so beautiful and we usually took a taxi to get back to the hotel. 10/10 recommend! Thank you Columba from the Shivers family!

Beautiful stay with the whole family

I'm  well traveled and not a complainer, but we were  really unhappy with our stay here.  Very far from town and difficult to get down there. Super busy road right outside the gate to navigate to town - whether you are walking, taking  taxi, or bus. Trust me, it's stressful. Stay close to town. 

We arrived on a rainy day, after a very long travel day. We were exhausted and slept in a bit the first morning.  We  asked for breakfast at 10:20, vs 10.  Columba  told us 2-3 times she would make a "one time exception".  There are only  5 rooms and when guests arrive late in bad weather, it seems one would be kind and a bit more flexible.  Not the service I would expect for over a $500 per night stay in this very average place. And the breakfast was a bunch of cheap carbs except for a cake that was delicious that she baked and cheap banana yogurt. We did our own breakfast the remaining days. 

Yes, there are 167 stairs up and down but we were prepared for that. That is not the issue for me when posting this. There is a pulley that takes your luggage 75% of the way but it was raining upon check out and Columba was very distracted  trying to bring a mostly prepackaged breakfast to only  4 rooms even though she had another woman helping  her that she  stopped it too soon so I had to run all the way up again in the rain to get her to get pulley down enough so we can reach our lugge while taxi was waiting on  busy road.  

  It was a really disappointing Positano experience overall, no suggestions on how to get around town, just left on our own.   Would not recommend. The reviews are misleading to me, and I travel and carefully read reviews before I book.  

Too far from town, disappointed overall

What a fabulous place to visit in Positano. Our B & B host Colomba who couldn't have been nicer. With the most amazing view across the bay and a beautiful setting each day for breakfast. Quite a few steps to walk from the street each day but once you are at the top the view makes it worth it.
Close by are 2 supermarkets, both owners are lovely plus a bar, 2 restaurants and newsagents. A small local mini bus can take you down the hill for €1.25 but we enjoyed the walk down looking at all the great shops, bars and cafes it only takes 10/15 mins.
Easy to catch a boat to any of the coastal areas from Capri, Almafi, Sorrento etc.

An amazing trip with lots of lovely memories

Positano Holiday - La Nireria B & B

This place is a real gem! The hostess is so so lovely and really accommodating, nothing is too much. We arrived way earlier than check in and she was there waiting for us, room ready and even brought us breakfast! She gave us helpful tips on getting around Positano and when my phone charger broke she lent me her sons! 
The apartment was lovely, spacious and clean. Amazing spacious balcony area where we enjoyed our breakfast every day and evening drinks and nibbles. Views are incredible. 
Breakfast was nice, continental style, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, cake, bread, jams and other packaged items which you can either eat at the communal breakfast area or on your private balcony- all with amazing views 
There is a mini bar in the fridge and a mini mart shop not too far away to stock up on water etc 
Would 100% recommend this place
Only negative is the amount of steps to get there from the beach :( and the fact that you have to navigate a busy windy road to get there, the gate entrance is right on the road which is a bit dangerous

Hostess with the mostest

It’s extremely rare in this life that you meet someone as genuine and kind as Columba, who makes such a real effort to welcome you into her home. What a wonderful person she is, so helpful and kind - she made us feel so at home at Le Nereidi. 

We had a wonderful short 3 days at this beautiful B&B. We were only passing through Positano so wanted a reasonably priced bed and breakfast with everything we’d need and Le Nereidi was perfect! The location was great for us, just a 3 minute walk from the bus stop which we were dropped at from Sorrento and only a short 10/15 minute walk down the steps of Positano to the beach! This bus stop also is the one you get along the coast to towns such as Priano & Amalfi. It also takes you into the centre of Positano - costing only £1.30 per journey! 

The rooms are clean and come with all the amenities you need - a hairdryer, toiletries, a stocked (extremely reasonably priced) mini fridge, tea & coffee, and ours even had a smart TV!!! The breakfast was great, Columba was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we need. Our room was tidied daily and fresh towels provided. 

The view from our balcony was nothing short of unbelievable - it was a dream to be able to sit here at night and watch as the sunset on Positano and the town lit up. 

I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a reasonably priced trip to Positano.

A beautiful, hidden gem in the hills of Positano

First, the warning: you need to be able to navigate a few flights of stairs to get into and out of this charming B&B.  If that isn't an issue for you, then read on...The views are spectacular.  We had a private little terrace/balcony that looked out at the Mediterranean where we were served a fantastic breakfast each morning.  Colomba, the hostess is a breath of fresh Italian air, full of life with a joyous welcoming spirit.  It's a bit farther up and away from the main part of Positano but if you're willing to walk up the stairs through the streets to travel between the water and this B&B then this place will reward you with a nice quiet secluded escape from the touristy hustle and bustle of Positano.  Wonderful value for the location, view and service.

That view! The photos don't do it justice. SPECTACULAR. 

Colomba is a wonderful host and made us feel right at home with her homemade breakfast every morning. The unit was spotless and Colomba brought fresh towels and sheets every day. 

There was even a washing machine in the unit, which was helpful as we were at the halfway point of our trip. NOTE to anyone who may use it, the regular cycle took 4 hours! We thought there was something wrong, but after Googling it learned that it's perfectly normal. But good to know in advance so you can maybe run it overnight! 

The stairs from the street to the B&B are a bit of a doozie - approx 170 of them - especially if you just walked the 600 steps from the beach! But it's worth it. Don't let that scare you off! Also, there is a luggage lift, so while you do need to climb the stairs yourself, you can at least send your luggage up via the lift!

This was my favourite stay of our 10-day visit to the Amalfi Coast - waking up to and going to bed to that view is unforgettable.

I don't know what's better, the view or the hostess!

What a hidden Gem this beautiful bed and breakfast was. I stayed here for 3 nights and could not fault a single thing! Columba.. you are one in a million! Le Nereidi is situated right at the top of the hill (On the main road) yes there are quite a few steps but so worth the view every morning and every night. Words cannot describe how magnificent this place truly is. The bus stop was right in front, the local grocery store was just steps away and everything you need was a short walk. From the front gate to your room there are about 250 stairs but not to worry as Columba has a luggage cart which takes your suitcases all the way to the top. And let me tell you that woman is amazing - she carried our two 30KG suitcases by herself to the room while we were in town waiting for our rooms to be ready. She did not have to do this! The walk into town is a hike (1041 stairs) but is worth every step! The room was perfect, very spacious, has everything you need (including washing machine in the bathroom). The balcony is the highlight as you get the most amazing views of Positano and every morning Columba would set up the most delicious breakfast on your balcony. We would look forward to breakfast every day. You cannot even put into words how wonderful she really is!! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip. Thank you for everything Columba!

Magnificant B&B and the best host!

We LOVED our stay at Le Nereidi, from the moment we arrived Columba made us feel like family. Our room was spacious with a large balcony over looking Positano. What a gem of a place. Every morning we looked forward to our continental breakfast, which was delicious, Columba was helpful and gave us whatever information we needed. We arrived by car, which Columba took care of, I emailed when we booked to ask about parking and she said she would sort. When we arrived she called to have someone come pick our car up, so easy. The parking was €25 per night. 
The property is on the side of a cliff so you must climb many steep steps to arrive at the door but those stairs were a great way to work of the the pasta. It’s a 5 minute walk if that to the bus stop where you can catch the internal bus to take you down to the beach or catch a bus to the other towns on the Amalfi Coast. You can walk down to the beach from Nereidi if your up for it but there’s around 500 + steps involved. All in all, amazing! We will most definitely return!

WONDERFUL B&B

The view of Positano from the terrace was picturesque.. The room was comfortable and clean.  Columba, the host, genuinely loves people and is hospitable and did her best to accommodate our needs as she had a nice Champagne, roses, and a card to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary.  The steps were a little challenging in hot August but was well worth it.  The automated lift for luggage helped big time.  Location wise, it is very good because the bus stop is within very short walking distance.  Buy bus tickets to go down and go up, avoid taking taxis if you don't want to get taken advantage of!
