We were part of a tour group that used this hotel as its base. It's a decent hotel but in October, it's winding down for the year. The restaurant was open for breakfast for all guests, but not open for dinner. The outdoor pool was closed but it was getting cool and drizzly at our hotel anyway. That was okay since our group had our dinners in a separate private dining area. The grounds were nice although the hotel is not in walking distance of anything -- that is unless you want to try walking along very narrow, winding roads. Internet worked most of the time but was out for one evening. Our bathroom and shower were fine but there was no fan or way to vent out steam so the mirrors fog up easily. 

Decent hotel but not close to anything

This place was Amazing . We went here for a couple days vacation with my husband.  There's a pool outside , 10 mins drive to all the restaurants. There's a spa also , free breakfast bar inside . The only thing I get lil bit upset is the drainage of the shower was blocked.

Nice place . 

This hotel is an older facility located in the beautiful county side.  The positive of this is that the views were beautiful and although we didn't use the pool, it also looked very nice.  The negative is there is nothing to do near by.  We were on a bus tour and if you didn't go on an optional dinner tour one night, the restaurant wasn't open.  We did have a group dinner one night at the hotel and it was excellent.  There was one lady, however, who yelled at our group as we were finishing dessert telling us it was "time to go" as she starting clearing the tables. She was quite rude to our group and was also crabby the next morning at breakfast.  Food was quite good at breakfast and they made coffee and drinks to order at no extra cost.  Our room was spacious but older with basic run down furniture and a somewhat uncomfortable mattress.  We did have a juliet balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding area.  It was clean but could have used some TLC.  There was also a nice courtyard, a bar with good service, and front of the hotel staff were helpful and friendly 

Beautiful views 

Very comfortable rooms, with massive balconies overlooking the Beautiful Chianti county side. Fantastic onsite bar and restaurant.  Great breakfasts.  Very lovely cold Pool.  Quiet - relaxing - Very special.

Charm and Comfort in Chianti

We arrived at 19:00-22:45 the place is very good and the hospitality is wonderfull. The service of yohane porter is good as he helped as with different stuffs since we arrived till we left. Its a wonderful place for real I wish to come back again.

Recently stayed 7 nights here with out tour group of 41 people. We checked in October 26th 2022 for 7 nights. We were forewarned the hotel had turned off all a/c units, this made our rooms somewhat uncomfortable temperature wise so we had to sleep with the doors open to the outside overlooking the parking lot. Some nights there was a lot of noise from the parking lot that we couldn’t sleep.
The bar service was lackluster at best, not a lot of variety of wine or beer.
The breakfast buffet was very well arranged with good variety.
The hotel is located in a very scenic location with great views.
Our only complaint would be no a/c. Otherwise a nice hotel. We probably will not stay here again.

The hotel, staff and location were brilliant excellent size room. Breakfast was good but not special. The restaurant on the lower ground floor was well appointed with excellent food and service. However the toilet facilities were terrible, I would advise going upstairs to the reception area where the toilets were perfect.

Plus and minuses

The rooms were quite large and roomy.  Wonderful views.  Be sure not to miss sunset and sunrise!  Breakfast quite nice and plenty of staff to go around.  Walk the grounds to take in the beauty of the countryside.  The pool is an added perk!  Don't pass it up!  Staff very friendly.

Atmosphere Overwhelming!

This is a 2 star hotel pretending to be a 4 star hotel.  The staff is not friendly.  It is of poor design and constructed of cheap material so there is much noise transfer among the rooms.  The dish cart used to remove breakfast dishes clatters over the rough brick floor with so much racket it will give you a headache and spoil your morning.  The staff should park the cart and take a few extra steps.

Avoid this place

Stayed in CHD this week and can honestly say the hotel was amazing, rooms are beautiful and spa/pools are so relaxing, food is so good and staff are so polite and friendly and very accommodating... We were booked for 1 night on arrival and 1 night before we left to go home our flight to Pisa was delayed meaning we had to book another hotel in Pisa due to late night arrival and the staff at CHD were so helpful and accommodating to our circumstances and did not charge for our first night... I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend thank you again 10/10
