This was our 4th or 5th visit over past few years and our first visit since Covid. Hotel staff are, as before very friendly and helpful. Hotel no longer has a restaurant or snack bar. However they have a good relationship with the Dolce Vita beach bar straight across the road which works well. Rooms are comfortable and has good aircon. Just as well as it was 35c all the time we were there. Breakfast is pretty good with fruit, brioche, cold meat etc. It’s about a kilometre to the centre of Marina di Ragusa where you have a choice of great restaurants. We will be back soon.

Very comfortable well situated hotel.

The staff really makes this hotel the best! Everyone is friendly and helpful! Most speak English as well. I needed to arrange for transportation from this hotel to my next one in Taormina and with a quick phone call from the person working the front desk it was done! The woman who manages the breakfast was also great, explaining all the choices and even offering to make me bacon & eggs! I went instead for some local cheeses, jam and bread. The rooms are spacious by European standards and have a nice big balcony with a line to dry your towels or swimsuits. They are one of the few hotels in the area that also has a pool if you prefer that. The location is at the end of a strip of beach with many restaurants, beach clubs and shops. There is a nice path for bikes, I rented one and would recommend it to get around town if you don’t have a car. The path is also very scenic following the beach. I would recommend highly a stay here!

Staff Make this Place Special!

There’s so much to love. Firstly the location, which is at the end of the promenade, and so a lovely stroll to and from the hustle and bustle of the centre.  And then the relaxing peacefulness when you get back.  The food served there was divine, with the fish and seafood freshly caught.  And don’t get me started on the pizzas, and desserts! Plus wonderful Sicilian wines, and fun aperitivo at any time that included their home made crisps!  In all a gastronomic delight.  

My room was comfy very clean and prettily decorated, and it was nice to have the option to sit on the balcony as well as down by the pool.  The poolside was also immaculately clean, and the gardens well kept.  The last time I was there was before the pandemic, but it was such a memorable time and the staff were so lovely that I wanted to write this review now to help others choose where to stay.  With the owners’ attention to detail coupled with a warm welcome and a friendly stay, I highly recommend Hotel Andrea Doria.

A Haven in the lovely Marina di Ragusa

Stayed for two nights as part of a Shearings Grand Tourer coach holiday of Sicily and Sorrento with my wife. Bedroom was modern, clean and had a balcony that overlooked the sea front. No kettle or tea making facilities. Flat screen TV but could not find any English speaking channels. Free WiFi but could not get a very strong signal in our room. Comfortable bed and modern well equipped shower room. Before dinner the hotel laid  on a welcome drink reception. Dinner was a limited option set menu and provided a special menu for my vegetarian wife, also catering for other party members with special dietary needs. Red and white wine was provided with dinner and I thought the food was very good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to appease some party members who complained about the appearance of their pasta course. Hot and cold breakfast options were also very good. I think this hotel is missing a trick in that it does not have a lounge or bar sitting area where our party would have sat after dinner and spent our money on drinks! There is a nearby supermarket where you can get cheap soft drinks and alcohol.
All staff were friendly and made you feel welcome.
I would come back to this hotel again.

Small friendly hotel in an attractive location near the seafront.

We spent two weeks here in September with bed & breakfast. We booked a junior suite so had plenty of space and the air conditioning was very effective. But no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Bathroom was quite large with a spacious shower. We could eat our breakfast outside and had a good selection. There is a fairly short walk of about 15mins at a leisurely pace along the promenade to the town square with lots of restaurants on the way.  We didn't hear any traffic noise in the room. Staff are kind and very helpful.

Good hotel in convenient location

I'd highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is quite a spread. There was a place to lock our bikes inside. And Michele, the manager was very helpful. Finding a van that would transport a couple of our bikes up to Ragusa. Recommending hotel options there. Just in general, very kind.

cycling through southern Sicily

Stayed as part of organised tour, season not started yet so lots of facilities not available but room clean and good size, helpful staff, good breakfast. Evening meal provided as part of tour so not sure if this is regularly available. Quiet a long, but pleasant, walk along seafront into the square where there's plenty of food available if needed. Quiet location with little traffic noise but good road access

Pleasant hotel with good sized rooms

Small rooms, my bathroom was not so clean, I could see where the mop started and stopped. The pool was large but cloudy. It did have a nice snack, drink area and it was very near the pool. You could not walk across the street to the beach, you had to walk down a bit to a small beach. I am used to large beaches in delaware but I was kinda cramped.

Nice hotel

We just returned from a week at the lovely Hotel Andrea Doria.Whilst it was at the end of the Sicilian summer season the weather was pretty perfect. The Hotel was in a nice location just on the edge of the resort and was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Salvo just looked after us perfectly. The location is great for exploring the area and visiting the beautiful beaches and Baroque towns in the area. First class.  
 

Perfect holiday location 

We had booked a Junior Suite, as that was all that was  available. It was very big, and a bit of a waste of space for us. If you book through an agency make sure they sort breakfast for you as we had a split booking, which only gave us breakfast part of the time. I'm pleased to say that the manager sorted that all out for us, and we'll book direct next time. Staff were friendly and mostly helpful, even though it was the end of a very long season. Format of the restaurant had changed since our last visit two or three years ago, which didn't suit us. We hired bikes, from the hotel, for a ride out to Montabano's house in Punta Seca. Hotel has a really lovely quiet swimming pool too.
