Upon arrival, the staffs  attitude was exceptionally unpleasant. I encountered a woman smoking in the alleyway. Despite the presence of two young men behind the bar, I had to carry my bags up four steep flights of stairs, which ended up causing strain on my back. The bed was extremely uncomfortable – it consisted of two singles pushed together but constantly separated. Moreover, the bar downstairs was excessively loud, and the noise from above was disruptive.

When I voiced my concerns, two individuals from the bar, (dumb and dumber) arrived at my door, behaving as if they were bouncers ready for a confrontation. Regrettably, no action was taken to address the noise issue, and even the double-glazed windows in the stairwell were left open.

The final straw was my attempt to have breakfast at the bar on Sunday morning. I was initially told it was closed, only for it to be reopened to locals just five minutes later. The overall experience was further marred by the unpleasant demeanor of the staff.

Very unpleasant staff, uncomfortable and noisy.

We stayed here for 6 nights in July. 

Pros:

1. Location is perfect, only 50 meters from bottom of Main Street which means no hard walk with cases uphill!  2 mins walk from train station.
2. Clean and large room with private bathroom and decent storage
3. We had room 103 which is only room with balcony. Great views up the street and a great place to people watch 
4. Shower was great!

Cons:

1. The bar downstairs creates a fair bit of noise up to 1am on some nights, wasn’t too bad but something to consider. If you stayed on second floor and up it would probably be quiet enough.
2. Double bed was two singles together and the left side sloped inwards!

Great location

I only went to the bar of the Hotel. The waitress was very rude. I asked for something to eat and specifically asked to heat the snack up, but got it cold (and gross). Don’t go there, at least to the bar.

Very poor bar

Yes, it’s basic, but very fair price and decent breakfast. 

Staff were very helpful, the coffee was excellent and the bar had a lively Italian atmosphere. 

Riomaggiore is one of the smaller towns and beware that the town shuts down when it rains heavily. It’s certainly one of the sleepier towns, but has lots of charm and many locals. 

Also, the main path between Riomaggiore to Vernazza (via Manarola) is closed for another year or two. There are alternatives, but they are more up/down. 



Very good value, very friendly staff

Only popped in for a drink. Asked for gin and tonic and asked for a straw only to be told to "relax and calm down" as if we were kicking off. Also the one straw we picked up had pizza on it. Pretty rude!

Rude

Convenient spot to rest while walking the Cinque Terre. Breakfast was excellent and great value and location was very central.I would not rate this as a hotel. it had no heart. It was a cheap cafe/restaurant/bar with rooms. Very functional at best with a cold, clinical check-in & lots of stairs.

I wish I could give this cafe less than 1 star. The most rude and arrogant staff, worst service - more like no service- avoid!! The hostess and bartender were disgustingly rude from the moment we entered. With lovely service at every other place we went in Riomaggiore, avoid this place at all costs!!

AVOID!!

The view from this hotel were the best ever! The reception is in the restaurant so dont go searching further(like we did). this hotel has no lifts and its like a maze. but then its worth the stay.

we chose breakfast and must say it was decent.. there were muffins, croissants, quiches, fruits, etc.

checkin was hassle free. 

to reach this place.. just walk out of the station and in less than 50 meters to your right you will find the La Zorza restaurant. 

Good eating options around. 

We had booked three family rooms. The view on higher floor was breathtaking.  

The hotel is also very close to the famous sunset point in riomaggiore.

Close to riomaggiore railway station and clean hotel

Nice and clean BnB within 5 minutes walk to the train station of Riomaggiore, they have a bar on the ground floor and the food not bad, the best tiramisù I had here during the trip, though the hospitality  not that good but overall it’s convenience to stay there.
