Pros: good location for sight seeing in Salerno. Right in centre of historic bit of town. Shopping and restaurants very near. But there are many in this area so you should really look elsewhere. 

Cons: (*deep breath in*)
Our flat was ironically called 'nice flat' it was not 'nice' at all. 
No breakfast was included which was beyond comprehension as the place said it was a B and B. (What that second 'B' stands for I don't know.)
When we went in there was pubic hair on the sofa and a strange smell. There was a spot on the very low walls where people had obviously hit their heads and left hair there. (Photo included). We were given no towels or shower gels. No shower mat so the floor was soaking every time we went in. There was no kettle...These are things you shouldn't have to ask for really. 

No natural light, it was akin to living in a cave. It was quite funny how bad it was actually. The host has obviously spent a lot of time on the foyer which is nice but the rooms have a lot to be desired. This was the worst B and B we stayed in on our 2 week long holiday. 

When we left the owner wasn't even there to say goodbye. Instead we were left with a cleaner who (bless her) was out of her depth a little and we were expected to know how to operate a card machine and process the payment ourselves! Outrageous. 

My advice: Don't stay here, and if you do, good luck and don't look too closely to anything!! 

The. Worst. Stay 

We stayed here in May, 2014. It is very close to the main pedestrian street of Salerno. Also close to the Duomo.
It is located on a little quiet street. It is on the third floor, no lift, but nice big wide open staircase...no problem except for those with limited mobility.
The B&B is very small....3 rooms, 2 doubles, 1 single, with a central dining, lounging area. 
We were 2 couples so we had the 2 double rooms and the single was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. 
Breakfast was EXCELLENT. Plenty of coffee, tea, fresh baked rolls, torts, meat and cheese plate, yogurt, cereal etc. 
The rooms are up a short flight of steps....these rooms are built into attic space so there are places where the ceilings are very low. For average person, not a problem. For a really tall person, could be a bit uncomfortable. 
Everything was VERY clean. Lia is extremely helpful with any questions or will help call a taxi, find schedules or any info you need. 
We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this as a nice place to stay.

Very nice little B & B

We found the B& B easily, Lia had written very good instructions, and she was very kind. She told us what restaurants she prefered, and showed us info for the town.Quiet rooms, but you have to be able to walk stears, stear from the dining place/the hall and up to the rooms in the attic.

Near all things it was a very good place to stay.

Cute place in the old city of Salerno

Our stay with Lia in old Salerno was delightful!  The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and quiet.  Lia has much literature about the area and is knowledgeable about the greater area around Salerno.  We were fortunate enough to have been in Salerno just as the famous Christmas lights were being installed over the streets and in various piazzas.  They are absolutely beautiful and unique.  We would recommend her b and b enthusiastically.  Just one word of caution:  the 61 steps UP to her apartment.  There is no elevator!  So if one has health issues this is likely not the place to stay.

Excellent b and b in old Salerno

I decided to stay in Salerno and it was the best decision ever. Salerno is a direct train ride from Naples and is the best place to base yourself for a trip to the Amalfi Coast and Paestum. Lia was so thoughtful, she sent me a long text detailing how to get to the B&B (only I received it after I had arrived). It's a bit of a walk to the B&B from the train station and with my trolley bag, I took about 25 minutes to get there (within the estimate in Lia's text) and climb up to the third floor to where it is. The B&B is charming and tastefully decorated and the guests can help themselves to whatever is on the dining table and the little serving table by the wall. Lia also let us sample some of her homemade cakes and they were just excellent. She also provided me with some maps and info on the nearby attractions. There is free WiFi although the connection is not as strong in my room.

I am considering returning to the Amalfi Coast in the near future and if I do, I will definitely stay here again.
